I remember sometimes watching American Bandstand on the television, but I never went to any of the school dances and never learned to dance. Sometimes, I wish that I hadn’t missed that part of growing up, but I just never did any of the social things, except I belonged to the local horseman’s association and went on trail rides. But nothing ever to do with dancing. I did like the music and often listened to my little portable radio, usually every day.
You had the horses to dance with, all I had was a donkey and a stolen ride now and then from our neighbor's horses.
Braless women with dead flowers in their hair, free sex, drugs galore. I liked the sixties culture to a certain extent, but then I was just marring and having children so not so much far as being wife and mother. Drugs came on the scene as did loss of morality and family values which we all got caught up in, it was fun times wild and free, till it wasn't.
