I feel that when Robert Muller feels he is being bombarded with questions in an unrelenting manner, he should then use the Constitutional Four-Point Parliamentary Procedure which proceeds as follows: 1: Stand up facing the questioning panel. 2: Give them all the Finger with both hands. 3: Turn around. 4: Walk out of the proceedings. Harold
He more or less volunteered for the questioning. He has apparently appeared before Congress 83 times in his life (according to one commentator) but still doesn't perform well in the hearings. It may be the biggest mistake the Democrats have made thus far. Nancy Pelosi apparently believes so. We'll have to wait and see.
Mueller is so doddering, stammering, stuttering, constantly getting people to repeat the question, mostly answering by referring to the report - it's really bad. Having done this dozens of times, it seems he would be used to the process.
I was surprised at how old, doddering, and angry Mueller sounded. Of course, what sounded like senility may have been intended to avoid giving a straight answer. For those of us who listened to the entire hearings, Mueller's testimony will not have helped the Democrats, but I'm sure the media will be very selective in which parts it decides to air. He clearly had no idea as to what was in the Mueller Report, so much so that the Democrats had to feed him the answers they wanted.
I also believe that his "selective memory" was either because he had delegated so much of the actual work (hence his sidekick) or because he didn't want to answer. And yes, both parties will be celebrating the "victory," though I didn't see any thing celebration-worthy for either side.
He told them before he ever went there that he would only repeat what was in his report. I think he did that except when they got him confused a couple of times. He corrected his misstatement as soon as he could. There was no collusion/ conspiracy. I wonder if the Democrats will let it lie now or keep stirring in hopes of finding,"Evidence of a collusion/conspiracy"?
According to one report, he was trying to avoid being the object of investigation himself. Apparently not only did he not write the report, he was not clear exactly what was in it. I'm thinkin' one of the anti-Trumpers on his team wrote the report, and Mueller thought the entire thing would be over when the report was published. He should have read the report and he would have known that there were intimations included that in all likelihood were not completely true and would lead to further trouble. I don't think any president in history has been harassed as Trump has been.
