    I'm keeping in mind, as I always do, that this is one person relaying another person's words and views, and even slightly varying their words can change their meaning and intent.

    I text with my kids and grandkids. I have found it really DOES save time to use the abbreviated words. If the person you are texting with knows what you are saying, it doesn't matter if it's a new sort of language. (I did know what you posted.....)

    FYI, the abbreviation "ngl" doesn't mean angel, it means "not gonna lie"

    I didn't like or use abbreviations at first. I thought they looked stupid. However, once you text on a regular basis, it really does make things more efficient.
