    Ace! – Excellent! Very good!
    Amber liquid – Beer
    Ambo – Ambulance, ambulance driver
    Arvo – Afternoon
Aussie salute – Brushing away flies with the hand
    Barbie – Barbecue (noun)
    Beaut- beauty, great.

We Aussies love abbreviating normal words.

I like the term 'nose ache' (someone that's nosey)

I used this term a couple of days back for someone we know whose nose enters the room before the rest of him
not because he has a big hooter but because he sniffs out gossip and wants to know everyone's business  :p

    Yowzah!

(This phrase for "Yessir" began on the Southern plantations in the 1800's.)

It was popular into the 1930's when "The Old Maestro" Ben Bernie used it on his dance band radio broadcasts.

I use it all the time!
