    I’m not for certain just what era that was popular but I’m thinking late 50’s, beatnik’s used it or during the sixties. It means, Do you understand or do you like it, depending on what’s being asked of you to “dig”. So, are you pickin’ up what I’m puttin’ down, Daddy-O? :)

    Funny you should put it that way. I had no idea of those rumors until I searched for that pic and started reading.

    edit to add: I misunderstood. I did not remember that to be the official title of the show. Oh, well.
