@Marilyn Pahl , there are places on the forum where we can post pics we've taken and this is one place.

I never got to post my birthday dinner on here (that's when I was banned.:)) but our awesome admin, Ken took me back so this was my 65th bday at The Chart House in Pacific Grove, CA. We were also celebrating my grandson's
17th bday. Our bdays are 2 days apart.

They also printed happy birthday on our menus, I think I have a pic of that too.

Yep, that's the menu I saved. I had the Alaskan Halibut and it was delicious. Also poke appetizers.

    And cake...

Nice photos everyone! I went to the zoo this weekend and had taken the SD card out of camera to put in the computer. I might post a waterfall pic though..except that the Falls were not as impressive as I would have liked. I am talking about Blue Hen Falls and Brandywine Falls in Ohio. I have seen much better ones. Oh well, what are you going to do? I am a waterfall fan,,,My fave is really Great Falls in the NOVA area. That is a wild and impressive waterfall that only locals knew about until fairly recently.

My youngest granddaughter, (16), started her first job this week, as well as starting the first week of school for the year. My oldest granddaughter is 32. As of April I now have four great-grandchildren, and I'm only 64.

But this age for the girls and boys always makes me feel as if something momentous has occurred. Too old for naivety, and too young for foresight.

The hoopoe is an exotic looking bird that is the size of a mistle thrush. It has a pinkish-brown body, striking black and white wings, a long black downcurved bill, and a long pinkish-brown crest which it raises when excited. It does not breed in the UK, but as many as 100 birds can turn up in spring (mostly seen as single birds) as birds migrating north to Europe from Africa overshoot and land on the south coast of England. 107140142.fffEJdbM.Hoopoe1.jpg

Welcome to the thread Honey G.... this particular thread is only photos you have taken yourself.... which kinda makes it unique in that way...

I'm delighted you've enjoyed the photos thus far...and looking forward to seeing some of yours... :D

I must admit I've neglected this thread a bit, I must add more to it soon...

They are really beautiful. Sadly on the decline due to the feral cat population. I am a great supporter of an organisation called SARA and Nine Lives and Freddy Cat houses who work tirelessly to neuter the stray population and injured and distressed cats and dogs

We raise money at charity event and boot sales

I have an eye on George an unneutered cat on our apartments.

His courting days soon over. IMAG0986.jpg
