Yvonne. I love eggnog too. I am going to try it in my coffee. Sounds good. I just buy the small containers as the wife doesn't care for it.

Great idea , Dave ! You will love it. Bobby does not seem to care for eggnog either (who can understand people like this ? ) ; and he drinks his coffe black in any case, so I do not have to share the morning coffee with eggnog with Bobby.

I still buy the quart size, and if I get one now, maybe then I can have another one before eggnog season ends in January ?

I do have to share my eggnog with Chipper though.
That little dog starts jumping and squeaking and spinning in circles (at almost eleven years old yet !) and waiting for me to get my morning coffee, every single day. He does not get the coffee; but he always has to have his little dab of cream in his bowl when I make my coffee.
When eggnog comes around, then he has eggnog instead of cream.

@Brittany Houser , here is a possible idea to thicken your eggnog. I have not tried this with eggnog; but I use it when making a smoothie.
If you have some of the instant vanilla pudding mix , either regular or sugar-free, add a dab of that into the eggnog that is too thin, stir well, and it should thicken up in a few minutes. Keep adding until it is the right thickness, a little at a time until you see how much to use.
This is great for when I am making a smoothie or protein drink and want it thicker like a milkshake. I use the sugar-free; but either one should work.
I usually have several flavors, and one that I really love is the cheesecake flavor.

Well, Dear Friends; I want to let you all know that I have fallen into temptation. When I went to Kroger today , some mysterious force drew me past the dairy aisle , and I discovered that they had the pumpkin eggnog on sale !
How could I resist ? Since I also love pumpkin pie and sweet potatoes; pumpkin eggnog is perfectly acceptable to me as well.
It is now reposing in the refrigerator and waiting for my coffee in the morning.......... well, unless I can't resist sampling a tiny bit of it tonight.

Hi Chrissy. Pumpkin eggnog cheers to you. Do you have any questions about the site? I've only been here a month myself but I've picked up a few things. For instance, when you click on "new posts" above then look all the way to the right and you will see "recent posts". Click on that and you will see your posts also.

Thanks for asking Lara, Im learning as I go along. It's a different set up than most forums Ive been on but not too difficult.

One question... What is the best or easist way to view the most recent posts?

I first go to the alerts and then I go to recent posts but somehow I seem to be missing some.

YW…the Alerts is just for alerting you to posts in threads you have been active in, and for any thread where members have "liked" your posts.

Ina, thanks for the tip. I think I'll try my hand at making some again this year, and use extra eggs in it. LOL I remember the good old days when I tried everything I could think of to gain weight! Oddly enough, I don't seem to have that "problem" anymore. :D
