His success will largely depend on whether he has backing from other Republicans in Congress. Cooperation from Democrats would be amazing, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that. In his last term, his own political party severely hampered him. Too many Republicans would stand alongside him when the sun was shining but then join in on the attack whenever a Democrat called for an attack.
I can only hope that the election results will convince Republicans that he is the face of the new Republican party.
The American people, Trump supporters, will need to reject turncoat Republicans loudly. To be sure, there's room for diverse opinions, but don't get in the way of what we voted for.
Just look at Newsom, spending all those taxpayer dollars that he doesn't have. (Bloomberg) -- California Governor Gavin Newsom is promising to step in with a state electric-car tax credit if US President-elect Donald Trump repeals a federal subsidy after he takes office next year. Newsom, a prominent Democrat and frequent critic of Republican politics, said in a statement Monday that he will propose rebooting a program California phased out in 2023 to provide EV buyers relief in lieu of a $7,500 tax credit targeted by Trump. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/california-pledges-ev-buyer-rebate-152405490.html
I just read that Tesla is the only company in the world that is successfully marketing EVs. Ford is nearing bankruptcy over the issue, Volkswagen is considering filing for bankruptcy, and the company that control the old Chrysler products is considering doing the same. All over the push for a product that nobody really wants.
Newsome wants to exclude Tesla from being eligible from the credit. Buncha childish small-minded unAmerican bastards. And haven't Californians got a long history of not liking most forms of electricity generation? (Please refer to my prior statement regarding children being in charge.)
