Ella & Bubba

Bubba's new large bed arrived, and guess what...

 

She wants to be the alpha cat, and that's a lot of pressure when you're half the size of the other cat and several years older.

He wants to be with Ella. He adores her but he goes about it in the way that an elementary school boy might, the equivalent of pulling her hair and throwing things at her.

 

It's been about five or six days now, I have not yet seen Bubba in his new bed, although Ella uses it regularly.

 

One month after Bubba's new bed arrived, I found him lying in it for the first time, and that is probably only because Ella is in the library. The only cat bed in the house that he can fit into, and Ella (who isn't much more than half his size) usually takes it.

 

I've never had a cat with as good of a disposition as Bubba. Nothing seems to upset him, and God knows that Ella tries. She can leave him bleeding from the nose and it's all good as far as he's concerned. Bubba is always in a good mood, although he doesn't always go out of his way to keep Ella in a good mood. He enjoys annoying her but I think he just wants her to play, and he probably thinks she's playing when she's not.

 

I might do that. They won't fit side-by-side in any place that I can think of, but there are two windows along that wall. You're right, though; Bubba would love to be in a bed next to Ella, although I'm not sure Ella would be thrilled.

 

This is not a good arrangement for online productivity.


Please note that he has a perfectly good cat bed to the right of my keyboard but, since Ella claims that one, Bubba doesn't dare. It doesn't matter that Ella is in the library.

 

That he is. He's a big boy.
