With the onset of Technology and an entirely new generation getting rich by appealing to us dumbos about creating a community, or even writing for periodicals if not a book, the founders were slated to get rich, Facebook and Google ran away with the spoon right over the moon, and we were hooked. They know more about us than we know about ourselves. Biggest scam ever, and it's too late to go back. We are addicted. Well, as time progresses, so do we. More and more businesses and corporations become automated, and with that, fewer humans are actually gainfully employed. This poses a conundrum for society, as the question arises as to how will people live? Idle hands make a devil's workshop, as the old saying goes. This starts the Silicon Valley billionaires asking the governments to propose a law giving each human a standard of living income, as they don't want the rabble climbing over their walls to rob them blind or slaughter them for their spoils. With the spy satellites connecting with Google, Facebook, Alexa, etc, the mic is always on, and the ears are always listening. You can turn your smartphones off, but if you carry it with you, Google knows where you are. The more data collected about you, the more enslaved you become. Try to make a phone call or, even receive one, without the NSA listening in. It takes the geniuses to figure out how to prevent all this incursion into our private lives, but I fear for most of us, that time has long passed. Wait for robots to greet you at your favorite shops and offer to be your personal shopper. I can feel it coming, and soon. Well if you use windows 10 and up be sure to turn off any GPS apps that came with the system. 10 had a couple but not for what most people think. I think more people are standing up to be counted for the truth. This might make liars will lay down for a while but then they resurface.

I agree that it is a rich man's game. It has always been since the beginning of civilization. Think about it. The powerful have always ridden on the backs of the poor. Worse, they don't care one tiny bit about the pain they cause. Take the cost of housing for example. The main problem is that new housing is NOT keeping pace with the exploding U.S population. The U.S. is arguably the richest nation on earth, yet the powerful do next to nothing about the astronomical cost of housing. If those in power wanted to, really, really wanted to, they could easily engage in a massive housing building program ... on a NATIONAL level. I could imagine a national program akin to those national programs of the 1930's. First step would be to require that every bit of vacant city land be used for housing. 2nd step, would be to auction off every abandoned house like those cities like Detroit where thousands of thousands of homes are abandoned and rotting way. HUD, could do this , BUT the federal gov't doesn't have the 1st clue on how to build/create on the cheap. So, it would take a separate NEW program similar to that housing program started by Pres. Jimmy Carter. (I've forgotten the name of that program)
Oh, but they do. They buy up and build up property all over the nation without regard to cost, thereby making it unaffordable for a lot of other people to buy land or homes. They also tend to support the non-profits and government agencies that are acquiring land and properties, taking them off the market.
