I'm so old that the words from my year would be, "What's that round thing with the hole in it?" My granddaughter recently asked me (Jokingly) if I voted for George Washington. .......... She'll be all right once the swelling goes down.
I'd like to post some new word here from my birth year but could find none. I was born into the worst year of the Great Depression. It was said if the thirties had been a book, it would have started with the Great Depressi and ended with the influx of world war ll. They do not speak of new words, they say we were still speaking the language of the roaring twenties. The only thing I ever heard was on a personal basis. When I was born one of my aunts said, "Ugh, you gonna keep that thing." And so it goes.
