@Hal Pollner How beautiful Calicos are, my favorite! I have had 3 during my lifetime, amongst many others, and feel the Calicos (virtually all female) had the sweetest dispositions of all! Frank
I use to have a German Shephard that let the cat sleep on her. Somebody dumped her out when she was a kitten. The dog sort of adopted her. The kitten nursed the dogs teat until she actually lactated. They were lifelong friends.
Actually, I found a story behind it. The man owned this tiger as a cub, hand-fed him, then released him back into the wild. The man returned to the area and the tiger rushed to greet him. Supposedly the tiger "introduced" the man to a mate. The man might be South African naturalist Kevin Richardson but I'm not positive. I had a wild squirrel, Squiggy, come to my balcony every day in New Hampshire. When she had her babies, she brought them to me. She told them, I guess, here's where to go if you want shelled peanuts! She also was friends with my cat. They would climb the screen door together, my cat inside of course, she outside. They would start at the bottom & climb all the way to the top, always keeping their faces together!
@Yvonne Smith Knowing cats as well as I do, and having had at least 10 over the many years, I know exactly how every one loves boxes! But I had no idea........! Frank
