Bill, I wish you had saved it..... I had the perfect ending for it. When Bubba was little and napped on the couch, I would put my heavy recliner against the couch to keep him from falling off. is it possible to put some kind of heavy furniture beside your bed to keep you from falling off? You could put it far enough toward the head of the bed so that you would have room to get in and out of bed.
Thinking about Shirley in North Carolina and all that rain. Hope she is okay in that big blow. Sound off Shirley. Is you ok?
I am fine, @Bill Boggs . We only got a little wind and rain at my house. The worst of it seems to have gone on either side of us, leaving us here mostly untouched. Thanks for asking. About this falling off the bed thing, you didn't expect to fall the first time, did you? If you fall and break something, you're going to be in deep doo-doo. It's better to be safe than sorry. And I'll tell you like I use to tell my sons; Don't make me have to come over there, young man!!!!!!!!!!
Before I got the hat shown in my avatar I searched all over west Texas. It is a plain straw, western style Hat. There were plenty of straw hats but all had a three inch or wider brim. I wanted a two or a two and a half inch brim. I was looking for a work hat. I looked from Pampa, Texas to San Angelo, finally finding a two inch brim in Abernathy, TX in a small department store. I liked that hat. I wore it out after I retired. This cap I found in a high end used clothing store. It is a Canadian beret and I have hung onto it for over forty years. Wear it occasionally.
Another beret I wear often is this French BeretIn fact, wore it all last week. I like it, it fits well on my head and goes well with my narrow face.
So, into that mess comes another. I’m looking forward to getting this one. I’d like to live long enough to wear it ragged. I’ll bet some of you have an old jacket or a favorite pair of gloves, or maybe a hat You’ve prized over the years.
