The newspaper in the DC area runs a Peeps diorama contest each year around this time. A woman I worked for (who became a good friend) was really into them...so I made her one. It was the scene of a campfire, with a Peep chick I fashioned a Girl Scout sash for sitting next to it. To add a sense of realism, I partially melted the Peep on my gas burner before setting her next to the campfire. We shared a macabre sense of humor...
