Louise, I forgot what all you already have. What would you like to be? I'm thinkin of being a little devil. A nice sweet, innocent little devil. ;)

Speaking of cleaning, we cleaned out the carport yesterday..
It has a concrete floor which is all cracked and has become dangerous to walk on.. It cracked because the land underneath is basically clay and during the spring thaw it will heave up the concrete floor and crack it to pieces..
We are having a contractor come in next week to remove the concrete, dig down about 2 feet, fill it up with gravel, and cover the top with a very fine gravel that will be rolled.. That way during the spring thaw, the driveway won't be uneven and the surface will always be safe to walk on..
Our main entrance of the house is in the carport.. That way we are never snowed in during the winter months.. At the back of the carport we have a very large shed where we keep our garden stuff, off season furniture, off season tires, lawnmower, tools, and many other items including the garbage can and even some containers of gas (petrol).. We have access to the shed all year long and if it rains or snows, we are dry..
Winter time my car goes in the carport to stay out of the weather.. No brushing off the snow and the car is plugged in (block heater) during the cold times..
They will also be building a new entrance platform with steps and a ramp to the front door..
A ramp because my wife is going to have within the next few weeks an ankle replacement operation and she will need a ramp to get in and out of the house.. When she will be mobile again, the ramp is removable and the stairs (2) will be there..

All that is exciting news for you both . Steve... Have you lived there for a long time?

We also have a nice carport and it extends the length of the house with a cement floor too... Its nice and smooth but it has a lot of stains on it. I would love to have it painted but !!! $$$$,, .we need new steps to our front door there too. They are also made of concrete and the first step is not even with the second step. ... It took a while and a few toe stubs to finally get use to it. but I would love to get that fixed ....
