Louise... We bought the house in April of 2005... We bought it from the bank as it was a repossess.. The previous owners were 3 months behind in their mortgage as well as one year behind in taxes.. It was in almost perfect condition.. all we did at the time was paint all over, remove the carpets and install laminate flooring, and do some landscaping.. That's all.. I later had built a patio off the kitchen which is 20ft X 20ft...... I am not too proud to tell you we paid only $45,000 for the house which comes with acreage.. You can see the pictures of our house that I have on Facebook.. It is an "A" Frame house.. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.. 1200 sq. ft...... Now the carport floor is all cracked and must be repaired.. Our carport is 35 feet long by 12 feet wide with a shed 12 ft. wide by 12 ft. deep at the back.. I will post a few pictures of the front and the rear of the house...
Our house from the front with the carport on the right.. Our house from the rear showing the back of the shed and the large patio.;.
GOOD NEWS...... A few weeks ago there was a bear that was coming around and it upset my garbage box.. Well, it went down the road and actually got aggressive with one of the neighbours there.. THE BEAR IS NOW DEAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful home Steve. ...In Maine there are more A Frames where the roof comes all the way down on the sides but there are the kind like you have too... I love your back yard and the nice little firepit you made for roasting marshmallows and cooking hot dogs on a stick...lol.. You did a great job on your deck too, very nice,, you sure got a deal on your home too,,.. so you think you will be eating bear meat this winter with your neighbor this winter , Steve? would be nice..
That bear was dragged into the deep forest and just dumped there for the other wildlife to have a feast.. So far, I don't have any bear meat but within the next few weeks, maybe......... We really enjoy our house and especially where it is located.. Not in the city where there are neighbours on either side and across the street and in the back as well.. We are surrounded by forest on all sides..
So are we, Steve , every home we ever owned was like that,.. and this is the first time we have ever lived in a brick home. but its necessary for where we live..
Nice home Steve ...we have a brick home they are called brick veneer homes ..wood framed ..brick cladding ..and gyprock on the inside ... We are going out celebrating today it's our 30 th wedding anniversary today ....I suppose it's not to bad for a second time round ..they recon second marriages don't last ....well despite all the rubbish we have put up,over the years from a trouble making ex ( not mine ) to kids on both sides issues ...and of course issues many marriages face ...despite all that we are still speaking to,one another ,and still dancing
Happy anniversary, Kate! Don't worry, Steve, it will be cold soon enough. I'm looking forward to a cool down, too.
Our house is always nice................... Now, the weather is still extremely hot but it is supposed to rain and cool off in the next few days...
It cooled off a bit overnight, but still the temperature is above normal.. It will be about 20c today and the normal is about 14c....
