Well better keep your long-johns on then. ..Keep warm!! Our recent AARP magazine had some nice write ups about Montreal and Quebec, Canada.. looks like a beautiful city.. Loved the cobble stone streets when we visited Quebec too..
Naw Louise..... Actually we kind of enjoy the warmer weather like this... Out almost every day for a lovely walk with my wife and the dog...
Below freezing is warmer weather for you?? I'm cornfused.. but I guess as long as your all bundled up ,,maybe its not that bad,.. It got up to 87ยบ yesterday which is very unusual but it was really nice.. This morning we are going to try our luck with fishing.. been seeing a lot of people fishing lately. so they must be biting..
Good luck with your fishing.. Yes, if the temperature is above -10c, it is considered warm up here.. Above freezing is really warm..
I LIED .......... I APPOLOGISE .......... I said a few posts that spring has sprung with the warmer weather ........ I LIED .... tonight it is going down to -27c ...... The high tomorrow will be -10c... Up to 30 cms of snow is expected in the next few days with very high winds... I thought Spring has sprung, but looks like ......................... I LIED .......... winter is still in full force... after all, it isn't July yet............ Spring should be sometimes at the end of May.................. MAYBE !!!!!!!
end of May. ? well your spring and summers are short then? like in Maine ,lucky to get 3 mo. of summer.. You have black flies in spring too? Hated those little buggers..
My BIL in law who lives in Canada told me yesterday that he has seen it frost in June and September. The only months he has not seen frost is July and August.
We generally don't plant our vegetables till the first week-end in June.. Seeds can go in the ground about one week earlier but not before that.. By labour day, the first week-end in September, we have to watch the weather very closely as frost is not far away...
We are in the middle of a bruiser snow storm as I post this.. So far we have received 30 cms of the white stuff with another 20 more cms to come making a total of 50 cms of snow.. That's 20 inches of snow with winds of up to 80 kms.. That's 50 mile per hour winds making blowing snow.. Schools were closed today..
We had rain today to wash away some of the pollen but that's only temporary. More to come for the next couple of weeks. But, at least, it's not snow!
Nice, but a little cloudy day here 21c can feel the nights getting cooler ...hope we don't have a really cold winter like we did last year .then again we escape up to Queensland for a month ..but not till the end of July
Unfortunately they are calling for warmer weather and lots of rain for the coming week.. could be that our spring is here..
Still just a bit nippy here... As I post this, its -15c but it is supposed to warm up during the day to a balmy 0c...
