lighter fluid ???? Stay away from a flame... I read somewhere that an ice cube on the gum for a few minutes and it will come right off.. Don't know if it will work or not.. I NEVER had that happen to me or any of my kids...
Getting hot and humid again and they are predicting this new hot spell will last at least 10 more days.. At least we have air conditioning in our living room that cools off the lower house including the kitchen.. Daily temps around the mid 30's with a humidex of very high 30's to low 40's ... Way too hot for me !!! The good thing is after sunset, it cools off so we can get a lovely night's sleep..
I bought Bubba a bag of Double Bubble Gum. Now he can blow some humongous bubbles. Did y'all ever have that? It really does blow bigger better bubbles.
I remember double bubble years ago.. I think it came wrapped in a cartoon paper.. Pink and like a cube and awfully sweet.. Really blows good bubbles.. It used to cost one cent a gum..
It comes in a bag with 20 pieces for a dollar now, Steve. That's a nickel apiece. Not too bad, considering how much everything else has gone up. I've been fighting a cold for almost two weeks now. I think the cold is winning.
You know, I don't think I have ever eaten chicken soup. Maybe I should buy a can of it to have on hand if I catch another cold.
No it doesn't....I had chicken soup for my lunch 5 times a week when I was a kid... I was never healthy...lol
All gone, thank G-d. I have been a busy lady, freezing peas, peaches and tomatoes/okra. My Canadians were here last week. I cooked dinner for my in-law family yesterday. The Canadians left this morning.
