........... I'm back.. Had a reasonable nice 2 day trip.. It snowed like crazy in Sudbury overnight but it was not a problem.. It then turned a bit nippy at a -28c temperature but there again it wasn't a problem.. My wife has to go back again next Thursday but this time it is in the afternoon which means we will drive there and come back the same day.. Now, I have a doctor's appointment in Sudbury on Tuesday which is 2 days before my wife's appointment.. Mine is in the morning but again, we will drive back and forth for that appointment.. In Sudbury twice next week.. If the weather holds up, no problem, but if it get nasty, we will have no choice but to sleep over.... We always carry a small overnight bag when we go out of town during the winter..
Steve, did things go well with Annmarie's treatment? Are you sick or is it just for a checkup? If I don't get sick, I don't have to see my doctor again 'til next September.
For me, it was just an annual checkup ... Nothing special and the doctor wants to see me again next year... Everything OK with my plumbing.. PSA test next year again.. I have one every year, and they are so far very good.. for Annmarie ... it is something more complicated.. An internal infection in her bladder.. Not very pleasant...
Well, I was asking for some snow and we just got a bit of it.. So far, it snowed about 4 inches (10cms) with the possibility of a few more inches overnight and tomorrow.. We need this very badly..
The storm seems over and we didn't get much snow.. not much more than 5 inches (about 13cms) in total..
I miss @Holly Saunders posting on Game Chat, Steve. She, you and I were the only ones who posted here. I often don't have anything interesting to say.
Holly left a couple of weeks ago. My days are pretty much the same ol' same ol' right now. Maybe I'll have something to add when spring comes.
OK.... This week I will be away on Tuesday for the day.. Home for Wednesday.. Away again on Thursday.. Home on Friday.. I have doctor's appointments on Tuesday in Sudbury.. Just a follow-up from last fall.. Annmarie has her weekly procedure on Thursday in Sudbury .. No use sleeping over for 2 nights.. That doesn't make much sense considering the weather will be clear with no snow and above normal temperatures.. Tuesday will be -3c and on Thursday it will be 0c...A mini heat spell.. That means we will get 2 travel grants for the 2 trips.. Each travel grant is for $45.00 because we live in the north and we don't have access to specialists, so the Ontario government pays us to go out of town.. If it is 100kms or more, they pay the distance for the gas.. if it is over 200kms, they pay an extra $100.00 to sleepover as well as the distance..
That sounds like DH and me when he was so sick, Steve. I use to say we'd never go anywhere if it wasn't for going to the doctor.
