I hear you Steve. my grey cells are only getting grayer, Im not as sharp as I use to be when I was young, this is a senior site , after all.. which only makes it more fun here................................................... I love these Senior jokes.. On an overseas flight, a lawyer and an older man were in adjoining seats. The lawyer asked the senior if he’d like to play a little game. The older man was tired, and he told the lawyer he only wanted to sleep. But the lawyer insisted the game was a lot of fun. “Here’s how it works,” he said. “I’ll ask you a question. If you can’t come up with the answer, you have to give me a dollar. Then it’s your turn to ask me one. But if I can’t answer it, I have to give you $20.” The senior figured if he just got this over with, maybe he could get some sleep. So he agreed to play. The first question from the lawyer was “How far apart are the earth and the moon?” The senior stayed completely silent, reached for a dollar, and gave it to the lawyer. Then he said, “My turn. What walks upstairs backward and comes downstairs forward?” The lawyer was stumped. He thought and thought. He tried to remember all the riddles he knew. He searched every corner of his brain. He even cheated and asked the flight attendants and other passengers. Finally he gave up. He woke up the older man and gave him a twenty. The senior stuffed the twenty in his coat and went immediately back to sleep. The lawyer couldn’t stand it. He woke up the older man and said, “I have to know. What walks upstairs backward and comes downstairs forward?” The senior got out his wallet, gave the lawyer a dollar, and went back to sleep.
Love it Louise.. Just goes to show that even if we are older, we still can be smart.. I always said there is a very big difference between being educated and being smart.... The lawyer had the education, but the senior was smart....
Gotta go I have a specialist appointment ( heart specialist ) I'm seeing about BP issues It's only local ..but I'm still I'm my PJ's Been fun playing games as usual
Kate.................. You OK ????????????? I had a camping trailer that we used to use about one week or so a summer.. In order to pull it, I had a powerful pick-up truck.. I also have a fishing boat that we didn't use very often.. In fact, I hasn't seen water in several years.. I first sold the trailer as I found it rather tedious loading it up, hooking it up, unhooking it at the campground, hooking it up again, and then unloading it... All this for about one week of vacation, if, that is a vacation.. I still had to cook, clean, and do the work around.. Our decision to sell it was a good one, and we don't miss it.. Then a Chevrolet Sonic came into our lives as I acquired it, didn't buy it.. I then sold the Pick-up truck as we don't need 2 vehicles and we decided to sell the boat as well.. I tried to sell the boat but NOBODY around here wants a fiberglass boat.. They all want aluminum.. It is a real mean, fishing machine and not really a cruising boat, although we cruise.. It is known as a "Bass Boat".. Well, we decided to keep the boat and next week I am going to have a hitch installed on my Chevy Sonic to pull the boat.. I know it is almost impossible for a small car to pull a 15 foot fiberglass boat, but I will do it and not go very far.. I was told there would be NO problems.. I will try to send you a picture of my Pumpkin (orange) car pulling a 15 foot fishing boat.. The boat is longer than the car..
Hi Steve ..yes fine got a good report from cardiologist ..been busy packing for my winter escape to Queensland ...I'm sitting in the airport right now ,flight leaves in an hour time
I bet Kate is soaking up the sun as I speak .. You go Girl!! Enjoy yourself.. Steve , I remember my dad had a fiberglass fishing boat being light in color and I remember him fixing a crack with some fiberglass glue ,, And it did the job. I recall that fiberglass boat was not very heavy either and I think it was a 15 footer too,, I know it was lighter then the wooden boat he use to have.. Have a good night everyone..
Louise.. Fortunately my boat doesn't need any repairs.. It is in good condition and everything works and nothing is broken or needs replacing.. By keeping it, we can go fishing and fill the freezer with fish for the winter.. it will definitely cut down on the weekly food bill by having fish, besides fish is healthy.. We fish mostly for Musky, Walleye, and Rainbow Trout..
Im just going over to photos to post a couple of photos I've taken this afternoon up The Gold Coast ,in Queensland @Louise Williams was spot on @Steve North .....yes I've been soaking up the sun up here.
We caught Rainbow trout when we lived in Maine, had to find them in streams tho. but boy they are very good eating.. yes sir!! Have a wonderful day everyone, I know Kate is .we finally got some good soaking rain yesterday and last night too,
I have a slight problem when it comes to pictures... 1) I don't have a camera that works properly.. It seems to want to skip every time I take a picture.. NO GOOD !!! 2) I don't have a cell phone or any of those modern toys.. 3) I have a camera that works perfectly and takes great pictures, but it is the kind that uses film.. there isn't anyone to develop the film around here.. Now, I will ask my neighbour down the road if he would take a picture, send it to me and then I will post it on here.. The problem is I have to catch him at home when the boat is hooked up to the car.. Other than that, life is just great up here..
