well , I use to be pretty good at it, but you know how it is when you get passed a certain age......... you play Bingo instead..
As far as tonight goes, its finally cool... perhaps after the heat spell we are not used to the cooler weather, but tonight it is going down to 6c which is much cooler that we have had lately...
We're the opposite Steve, we're going up to 30 degrees by tomorrow again after a couple of days of 20 degrees and rain ...6 degrees????...OMG that's {{{{{{{{{cccccooolllllddd}}}}}}}} it's August for goodness sakes...wow!!!
Generally we get frost around the first week of September.. Our heat of summer is gone by now.. I was just mentioning to my wife that it might be time to put the electric blanket back on the bed.. Beach going is all over for this year.. Its definitely jacket weather.. Just up north from us, they already had some sign of snow flakes.. YES, SNOW !!! This is August 22nd and that was a few days ago...
It is supposed to warm up tomorrow.. They are calling for a high of 18c and sunny.. Now, that's more like seasonal.. You must remember that I live up north and our weather is always somewhat colder.. Google.... Massey, Ontario and you will see exactly where we are..
LOL Steve we're in the North of Europe...and it's 30 degrees today lol but seriously I get your point, but I just find it hard to imagine that a part of Canada can be so cold in summer. Australia of course we all know because it's upside down ...but Canada?..I never knew that at all. I suppose because it's such a HUGE country that the weather is so diverse. I learn something new ever day What part/city/area of Canada is closest to you at this time of year where it's hot ?
Holly.. Massey is situated just on top of Lake Huron which is one of the Great Lakes.. We are about a 6 or 7 hour drive north of Toronto.. The snow wasn't here, of course but farther north than where we are.. Up on the Hudson's Bay coast.. Lake Louise in the Rocky Mountains also got snow, but they are extremely high up and known for their long snow season.. It will warm up a bit this week, but nothing like we had for the past several weeks, I hope.. It should go up to about the 25c mark which is lovely.. We will expect some frost by the first week in September which will make us bring in the veggies in the garden.. Because it has been very hot this summer, maybe the middle of September till the first frost....... Who knows ???
Steve, my husband spent 6 months in Lake Louise and Banff some years ago filming...it's a beautiful place , but he found it too remote for his liking...some people are never happy are they lol..
There also a Lake Louise in northern Illinois... heehe, I was born in Chicago but lived closer to Lake Michagan for 32 yrs.., and I recall many cold , cold days in Illinois, we always got those northern Canadian winds and snow storms.. I chee waa waa..!! was as bad as living in Maine, in the winter..
Steve, my BIL and SIL live in the southern part of Ontario near Simco. They get frost in September, too. They got a lot of snow last winter but the last few winters before that were mild. For them, at least, if you consider 10 ยบ F mild.
