Congrats again , Steve. now you and your princess can get something nice for yourselves for Christmas.. Way to go!! we went for a ride today to Mississippi , not far from us .. a Town called Corinth. it was a crappy Foggy misty day today so we took the ride to eat lunch at the Rib Shack. some good eatin' Ribs there, they slow cook them out side in their big smoker.. heres a few pic of the weather we had and a pic of really cool red Corvette and some pics of inside the Rib shack. I forgot to take pics of our ribs. we were hungry and did not even think about the camera. lol.. This was on the wall of the Ladies bathroom.. the walls were lined with license plates from all over the states ,, Just a lot of old signs all over the place, but its the good Ribs they serve that is the most special thing there, Then we stopped at a outdoor market. to get some Pecans.. this is just a few of the things we saw there.. Im almost done. don't want to bore you all with too many pics.. We bought one of these 5# bags..
Hey, @Steve North, now that you have all that unexpected wealth, don't forget who your best friends are. Louise, those are great pictures. Sounds like the perfect plan for a blah day. Were the peecans expensive? Nobody around here has any this year. I looked at some that were shelled at the grocery store. I think they were about $11 for 12 ounces. I'm glad I have some in the freezer.
Like I said on the other thread, I WANT TO THANK THE ADMINISTER FOR THE MOST GENEROUS GIFT OF ALL.... TOTALLY A SUPRISE.. Now, I also want to thank all my friends on here for their congratulations.. I have NO idea what I will do with it, but I will definitely let you know when I do... Again, thanks !!!!!!
There are a zillion things to buy on Amazon, Steve. I buy from them occasionally. My GD actually orders her toilet paper from there. She tells me that I should, too, because they bring it right to the door. I'm not sure they would deliver to your door, though.
@Holly Saunders and @Diane Lane asked in keep one junk one what is a ceiling blanket ? I thought I'd post the answer here.. It's called a few different names ..Depending on who makes it ........it's ceiling insulation for homes with tin roofs ..it comes on a roll rather than bats like we have under our tiled roof https://www.pricewiseinsulation.com...anket-105mm/?gclid=CM6Y6PC-9NACFZaWvQodcn0JQg
insulation.. .. we have rolled insulations in the states too, but not sure its used for the ceiling blankets.. but it sounds like it is specifically for Tin Roofs .. they are becoming popular around here too and in different colors, Red, Green, Blue , etc.
Shirley the pecans were $ 3.00 per pound... whole not cracked but hubby loves to crack them, lol... infact they are already cracked and cleaned and in freezer bags already. I made some pecan Bark and I want to make some cresent cookies with the pecans too, Shirley have you won the amazon card yet? Steve let us know what you and your princess chose to buy.. Ive been busy today. trying to make more of these little sock Snowmen.. while I got the time. I found it on you tube.. easy to make, here';s the link if interested.. ...
Snowing like all hell up here.. It started snowing early today with a Colorado Low along with Arctic air.. They are calling for up to 40 cms of snow with blowing snow and temperatures of around the -23c mark... For tomorrow (Saturday) we are staying home where it is nice and warm..
Oh I don't envy you that snow Steve...I'm dreading getting snow here..we've already had ice, and I hate driving to work in it...
Holly,..... like I said on a previous post, we like the snow.. It brings loads of $$$ into our village along with the extreme cold as well.. Personally, I don't mind winter as long as it isn't very windy.. its the cold along with the wind that is a killing temperature.. We are used to it and please don't think I am complaining, but just stating the fact we are under a severe storm warning..
We had a little ice on the roads this morning and it caused a lot of wrecks. Then tomorrow, it's going to be 70 degrees. My in-laws Christmas get together is tomorrow. I'm glad it iced this morning instead of tomorrow morning.
I like snow too Steve...but unlike you I have to drive to work in the dark mornings and evenings in it...that's not fun!!
no snow here but tornado warnings., we were suppose to get in the 70s too Shirley but only made it to 68ยบ. feels pretty warm. too.. but we still are on alert...
