Steve never showed up yet... ? I hope he did not get buried in the snow. I bet they lost power if it was a bad heavy wet snow storm , that has happen to us many times when we lived in Maine,, I will be gone for a while and wont be back til late Friday afternoon,, just in case anyone thought I kicked the bucket. LOL..
I am here and I just posted on the Random Appreciation thread my explication as what happened to me.. Please go there and read it.. it is rather long but it explains everything.......
Enjoy your time away Louise...i finished work last night for 5 days...woohooo...not planning to go anywhere, just need the break from work.
Holiday seasons are something else.. Somehow we end up with more work than if we went back to work.. Thank goodness they only come once a year.. Imagine if we had 3 New Years every year, we would all age 3 years older every year.. That would make me about 225 years old................... No thanks !!!! Meanwhile, may I take this opportunity to wish everyone on this forum a ............. VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR WITH HEALTH !!!!!!
My shoulder is doing much better since I got the shot of cortisone one month ago.. I still have some pain, but nothing to complain about.. Very little and only sometimes.. On the long run, I will need a shoulder replacement, but for now I will enjoy the life I have with it, as it is....
I guess the old saying ,, if it ain't broke , don't fix it .. Hope your shoulder will last for a long time, Steve.. its a very long recovery period from a shoulder replacement from what I hear, but if it comes to that ,I know your dear wife will be by your side to help you.. and plus you can still type with one finger! LOL..will it be your left shoulder or right shoulder , Steve?
I have already had my left shoulder replaced in October of 2010.. That was NO picnic.. Physiotherapy for just over 6 months twice a week.. Then it took about one more year till it was almost OK.. It will be my right shoulder this time, which will be slightly more difficult as I am right handed.. I know all about shoulder replacements.. They are the worst of all and take a long time to recover from.. Hips are the easiest followed by knees and shoulders are the worst to recover from.. Hips and knees are weight bearing while the shoulder is not.. Pick up something too heavy and the joint opens up and comes apart.. I will cross that bridge when I have to, meanwhile I seem to be OK for now..
I'm back.... I was gone for a few days from the computer as it was in "dry dock" once more, but this time it is repaired for good....................... I hope.. It was my ram that was problematic .... Been replaced...
yep , your correct Holly.,, we had a more powerful hard-drive put in our computer last year and yes the speed is amazing , also i needed more space for all my pics. too.. we actually had some snow this morning, our first snow fall this winter. only got a few inches but it will be gone by tomorrow. cold too, only in the 20's today..
I now have 8 gigs of ram.. Much faster than before.. I also have 500gigs of hard drive which I don't need that much.. SNOW !!!! We have had so far this winter 150 cms of snow which is 60 inches of snow which is 5 feet of snow... As I write this post, it is -24c out and it is supposed to drop to -31c overnight.. Believe it, I made a BBQ for supper tonight.. it was just a bit nippy but no wind which makes it quite pleasant.. my wife took the dog for a long walk this afternoon.. Just dress accordingly and everything is cozy.. The dog loved it !!!
