Gosh Steve , I guess where you live you can almost count on some whopper snow storms and your very prepared. We woke up this morning with a light dusting of snow., and that is about all we ever see here. by noon it will be all gone.! I have not been in a Sears store in Eons. never seen any in Maine or here either , though their could be.. but in Illinois, yes! The only thing I know of and have eaten that is Greek is, Gyros. and they were excellent! .. very good, but I do not like Lamb at all so I would get them made with beef..Lamb has a very distinct taste and my taste buds let me know immediately not to eat it..
well I only thought it had quit snowing ,,it continued on and off all day. we finally ended up with 1" of snow .. lol. And what does one do when stuck in the house all day while its snowing outside.? she makes Pecan Cresent cookies, that's what ! Time for a spot of hot tea.! join me anyone? there really are more cookies than this.. lol
My avatar is missing from some of my latest posts. ?? what the heck? very strange. someone put a curse on me?, Time for me to go.. be back later to see if i'm still here or not. !
We ended up getting just over a foot of snow (that's 30 cms).. They are calling for some nippy weather for the next week with lows dropping down to the -42c mark.. I guess it can be called cold at that point.. My car will be plugged in for sure.. As long as there isn't any wind, we will be just fine, but a brisk wind will give a wind-chill that I am embarrassed to tell... Not this winter but we have had wind-chill of below -60c...
OK........ its 8:30 am and the temperature is -34c and I noticed a nice breeze to go with it making a wind-chill of ????... Probably around the -45c mark.... We have what is known as "Freezing Fog" ............ Should I do a BBQ for supper ????? QUESTION: At what temperature does propane freeze ??????
I don't think propane freezes, its a gas not a liquid. I don't think anyway.. we leave ours outside and still hooked up to our grill and we have not had it ever freeze .. even when we lived up in Maine. I googled.. and we never had temps they call for here, when I googled.. We've had -20;s but never -45! Can Propane Tanks Freeze?. Propane is a colorless, ... Lower pressure causes the temperature of the propane to fall, slowing the flow of propane. Propane tanks will freeze up when the ambient temperature drops below -44°F. This is because propane has a boiling point of -44°F. If the temperature is not greater than -45°F, your propane will not vaporize, and your tank will freeze. However, as the temperatures drop, and the volume of propane in your tank drops, as will your pressure. If you do not have a heating source, it is important to keep your propane tank as full as possible at all times, to avoid freezing.
Hi Kate, yes..your right ,I've not seen her lately either. now im wondering what happened to her. did you try to PM to her?
Thanks Louise.. I BBQ'd tonight and I noticed the flame was not as high as it usually is.. Yes it was cold, but it didn't stop me from making turkey burgers that I made..
