I have a digital camera ,that way it only costs me time to transfer photos from the camera to the computer and , I'm not paying out to have a film developed that's full of unsuitable photos
Exactly.. I will be looking into that kind of camera when the time comes.. The only problem is if you want to show someone pictures, how do you do it?? It has to be in your house and you must turn on the computer.. If you go out, forget it....
@Steve North you store them on your computer ,( laptop or desktop) or mobile device or you can look at them on your computer pick the ones you like , and take them to a shop ( on a USB or a CD ) that's prints cheap photos .....We have Kmart ,BigW , Harvey Norman to name just three that prints photos photos for 9 cents each I know you are in the country area Steve , but if you travel to a larger areas you may find a place that prints photos like the places I mentioned we have here ....I'm sure you can also take the memory card out of the camera and put it into the machine ,in store and look at the photos you have taken , and pick out what photos you'd like printed while there Big W and Kmart are home ware variety stores ,and Harvey Norman are major homewares store like 80" TVs washers fridges furniture ect
Hmm....... I guess I will have to look into that option which I didn't know existed.. There is a Wall-Mart in Sudbury to which we go to about 4 or 5 times a year.. There is also a Staples which sell computer and photo items.. On the other hand, can I print them from my printer ?? I have one of those 4 in one machines that are a photocopy, fax, scanner, and a printer (only in black & white) .. I can't print in colour but I can print in black & white only..
I don't have a color printer, either, @Steve North . I used to have one but the ink cartridges are very expensive. I used it so seldom that the ink dried up. The printer wouldn't print without both cartridges being in working order. My sister has one that she bought just to print pictures. I think it's smaller that a regular printer. The cheapest way to get prints is to take them to Walmart or somewhere. After we went on our trip, I printed 100 pictures at Walmart for $15.00. Sorry @Kate Ellery and @Holly Saunders , I don't know how much that is in £. You can also get pictures printed on Photobucket and they will deliver them to your home.
Shirley is right, Steve, Walmart is the cheapest way to get your pictures printed and the workers there will help you every step of the way.. on their printing machines as to how do it.. Also I have a print , scan and copy printer too, , so yes you can print out your pics at home but you have to buy photo paper to copy the pics on. .. you can get it at walmart.. just click on the pic and click print and you have a choice of the size pic you want .. BUT like Shirley mentioned , the printing paper , the colored ink all cost money, so I would take your camera to walmart and let them help you with their machine or just let them print the pics for you. that would be the cheapest way to go.. Good luck dear..
Same here @Louise Williams biGW or Kmart will help you ,I even had a photo on my very old flip phone ,that a staff member managed to send from my old ancient phone via Bluetooth to their machine .I have to agree with the costs to print at home it's fairly expensive for ink and photo paper here as well . I walked past a Harvey Norman today , I mentioned in an earlier post, they have now , put their price up for printing photos from 9 cents ..to a whopping 10 cents a print
Does anyone know how to clean the inside bottom of one of my good langoustine pots.. It got dark brown from using, especially with hot oil and now it looks awful.. Not that it matters as it is well cured, but it looks very bad.. I tried scrubbing but that won't work..
Wish I could help you but never in my life have I ever heard of the pot your speaking of.. let me google it first , they may tell you how to clean it,, googling can be sooo helpful .. Well come to find out Langoustine is a seafood that looks like a very skinny lobster.!! lol You need to tell us what your Langoustine pot is made of ...Stainless steel ?
Hello steve,, look above my post here, I tried to help you but you did not say what your pot is made of..
Lagostina is the name of the pot I have.. They are supposed to be of a very high quality pots and pans..
ok it will not let me print what they are saying to do. it says to just pour a little vinegar or Lemon juice into the sauce pan or pot and wipe clean with a paper towel or washcloth.. Its late and im up way past my bed time. hope this helps get your special pots clean steve. and hope you have a good night . see you tomorrow , maybe in the am..
This from the web Steve... I have a beautiful Lagostina pasta pot which had the same fate, and while we got the pot clean, it now takes almost twice as long to boil water, as another similar sized pot. Remove as much of the burnt on food as possible, using a strong spoon, or even a putty knife, but try not to scratch the metal on the pot. Add water, a cup full of white vinegar, and two drops of dish soap. Let the pot sit for at least 24 hours. It is very important that the water solution touches the bottom of the pot, so scrape the mess, and it should be loosened enough that you can scrape down to the metal. Put the pot on low heat, and stir/scrape regularly. When you feel that you have loosened the bulk of the burnt on food, dump the residue into your garborator, or strain the liquid so you can throw any solid waste into the garbage. If there is still a lot of burnt on food, repeat the above step, if there is only a little, attack with a stainless steel scouring pad and hot water or for very stubborn areas apply oven cleaner, and allow it to sit for several hours before scrubbing. This should remove all the burnt on food, but whether the pot will work as effectively is dependent on the severity of the overheating. http://www.howtocleananything.com/h...hen/burnt-on-food-from-a-stainless-steel-pot/
