I have company coming Sunday. My Canadians are coming to stay with me for a few days. They say company and fish start to smell after three days. If they start to smell like fish, They are out of here!
Steve, I have been MIA for a while. I forgot when your surgery is. I know it is soon. So, I'm sending prayers for a successful surgery and a quick recovery.
I'm back on here.. It is now Friday night and on Monday we are off to Sault Ste. Marie.. I am scheduled for surgery on Tuesday at 8:00am which means I have to be at the hospital for 6:00am.... ECH to that hour but I would rather have the operation first thing in the morning than later in the day.. I will come back on here later to play games and give you more info concerning the operation..
I had my pre-op last week and I was told to STOP taking my anti-inflammatory pills for 10 days before surgery.. I did that and am now not feeling that great.. It hurts in places I didn't know I had... I am limiting my painkillers as much as I can, but I still need them.. I know the op is just a few days away, but I can't wait.. The operation is Tuesday and if everything goes OK with no problems, I should be released from hospital on Friday.. It will be quite the challenge trying to cope with my right arm in a sling for about 2 weeks.. I am right handed.. I met with the physiotherapist and was told to come in, in the second week even if the staples are not out yet.. Well, so far so good as far as my health goes.. My dear wife will come on here to let you how I am doing after I come home.. I don't think I will be able to type with only the left hand, but I will try..
I had my right wrist fused in 1990 ,and had my arm in plaster from my thumb joint to my elbow ...I'm right handed so you can imagine what happened when I wanted to put up pants or go to the loo
Kate.. I was thinking about that as well but I didn't want to mention it.. Being very right handed and suddenly no use of the right hand will be a challenge..
It was certainly a challenge but we survive @Steve North I had a frozen shoulder about 5 years ago, that was the most painful thing I'd ever had ,,but it was my left shoulder ,so I was still able to use my right arm / hand Take care we will be thinking of you
Thanks Kate.. It is now just after 6:00am here and I just took 2 pain killers as the pain is soooooo bad it woke me up from a deep sleep.. It usually takes about 30 or so minutes for the pills to work at which point I will close down here and go back to sleep ....
Well, this is GOOD-BYE as I am off tomorrow very early for Sault Ste. Marie.. Tuesday is the big day.. I don't expect to be able to open up the computer and type for at least 4 weeks.. I will try however, but no promises.. My wife will come on here to keep you up to date on my condition.. Again..................... GOOD-BYE........ for now !!!!!
Bye for now , @Steve North we will all be thinking of you ! We will keep.an eye out for updates by Annemarie Don't stay away to long I'm sure you will be able to,use one hand on the keyboard ...to get back playing games ..it will help pass the time when it's hard to do much else
