@Louise Williams and other members who may be interested in Australian outback here is the information about Coober Pedy ...the opal mining town in South Aust ... . everyone lives underground there, it's very hot in summer even hotels and motels are underground ,I've been through there ,but couldn't wait to get outta there it was about 47 c the day we visited https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coober_Pedy
Kay, there is so much to read but I saw a Comfort Inn there too! and there is a golfcourse underground with glow balls !!what a hoot.. I clicked on the picture and it got nice and big to see everything in the picture. thank you for the info.. I will come by tomorrow to read it all , like I say, there is a lot to read, and I want to read more about it...
Today was food shopping day.. I went with my wife to the shopping town (35 minutes away) just to make a change without any intentions of even leaving the car.. Well, I borrowed a walker with a seat from a friend and I actually did some of the isles in the grocery store.. Getting out and making a change was wonderful.. Meeting people and having who to talk to was therapy.. We went to MacDonald's for a coffee afterwards and that tasted heavenly.. Now this evening, I can feel that I did quite the days activity considering it was my first real day out.. It is early and I am sleepy, so off to bed I will go.. No use fighting it .....
Louise.. The weather up here is almost perfect.. We did have a ton of rain the past 3 or 4 weeks but now it has warmed up to a lovely 25c during the day with a hot sun making it feel more like the mid 30c range.. I did sit out on the patio for a while a few days ago and I do every time I can for a few hours..
Kay , I did come upon this today ,after reading all of the link you posted last night.... not sure what the "cachet" meant tho.. I 'm thinking its some kind of written article.. or does it mean an "Opal" ? ""A rare exhibition cachet, signed by Coober Pedy Postmaster Alfred P. North, was discovered in Memphis, Tennessee on February 3, 2016. To date, it is the only known example of this cachet in the world.""" Steve, you sound just great these days. back to your old self again.. lol..
I didn't know what a cachet was either @Louise Williams if you touch the blue word cachet it will explain what it is ..now that's interesting something from CP found in Tennessee
Ok , Steve , we understand, just pop in when you think your feeling up to it,, Another hot , hot day for us today. whew!!
I tried a few games.. The easy ones.. Trouble typing.. tomorrow out come the staples which will give me more use of the arm......
I'm glad you got rid of those awful things, @Steve North . Play with us but be vewy, vewy careful. No punching or jumping for a while.
E-Haw! Steve.... then when do you begin the range of motion exercise?.. so to speak.. typing on the key board might help that too..
