No.... No campfire as we were busy talking and I was busy in the kitchen... Besides the weather wasn't the greatest.. No rain but overcast and cool..
Definitely very interesting.. He has an office and a staff of 10 employees and a payroll of one million dollars per year.. He has meetings all the time with other high ranking union and political figures.. He is the one that designates the other provincial members their duties and their responsibilities..
A funny thing happened to me yesterday... Funny but very true... I was at the garage having something checked out on my car.. A chap comes in and asks the owner about some tires.. He was shown some tires and he noticed that they were made in China and commented why the tires were imported from China.. The owner answered by saying, pretty well everything today was made in China.. The chap then answered that................... He was made in China as well............ C'mon, what is up with that one and he explained that his parents went on a business trip to Saigon, and while they were there, he was conceived... That means he was.......... Made in China...
It's funny seeing Tyres spelt tires no,wonder is claimed the English language is the hardest to spell / learn when we have different ways of spelling things like Tyres /Tires / Flour / Flower/ There/ Their ect
Yep tires means to get tired here in the UK...the word for car wheels is Tyres Lots of similar sounding words meaning different things in the English language Bow - Bough Threw- through etc... ..and then to further compound the issue...English speaking countries don't always spell the same words in the same way as just described... colour UK ( color US)... Disc - Disk (US) Programme - program ( US) Neighbour (Uk)- neighbor (US)...and thousands more.. here's a huge comprehensive list.. http://www.tysto.com/uk-us-spelling-list.html
Louise.... Just got an email from my son...He's in TENNESSEE now . Not sure where he'll end up for this eclipse viewing ~~!!!!!
Joyce, he could of came to our house , we are going to see it from our driveway..LOL IF it's not cloudy..!! He probably went to Nashville. there is a 90% chance of seeing it there...
Joyce,..Unfortunately , Nashville had a big cloud cover.. we only got 90% coverage, our temp dropped from 92º to 84º within the time it began to when it was over about 30 some minutes here...... We did not see a total eclipse. but S. Carolina did ! Unfortunately your son went into the wrong direction..! oh what a bummer..!! But then, who knew a big cloud would not move out of the way of the Eclipse in Nashville. ? eeesh!!
Louise, not sure from where son watched...but sounds like it was worth the trip. I've copied his email so you can read for yourself. " That was indescribably beautiful. I was in a church parking lot and as it got darker the streetlights came on and I thought that would ruin the experience. But I was wrong. During the eclipse because it was slightly hazy and a little wispy clouds, you couldn't see many stars but you could see Venus brightly I'll tell you all about it but I think the most stunning thing was that after the totality and as the sun was beginning to come out from behind the moon, the clouds began gaining color and all around for 360° it look like the sun was setting purples and blues it was stunning scene and left me practically devastated over its beauty"
Oh my gosh , Joyce, he seen the whole eclipse! bless his heart, he was at a good place that's for sure.. !! I did get some eclipse tree shadows tho in our driveway.. the leaves from the trees shadows were so unusual looking..
