Kate .good to see you back home and safe but still with a lingering cough...that's why I never bother with a flu shot. they are only guessing what kind of flu is going around.. they never know.. hope you can get rid of the dear cold..and can come and play some games with us..
Yep @Shirley Martin will start packing today .........But on one condition it's warm there ....it's still freezing here it's all a bit hard to,take after spending 4 weeks in mid 20's temps and come back here to 12/13 c days Save a space for me ..it will,be interesting to,taste the roast bear Steve's cooking for us ....and maybe even see a real bear
Welcome Kate.. It won't be very warm in the beginning of April, but the hospitality will be very hot.. There will still be loads of snow on the ground as well the possibility of a HUGE snow storm.. it will be below freezing every day and even colder at night.. You are more than welcome to try my Bear roast and my Beaver stew.. As far as bears goes, I can't remember a day that we didn't have one roaming around our area.. They are huge but totally harmless.. They are more afraid of you than you are of them.. The moment they see you, they are off..

its ok. we got a lot of rain and a lot of wind..and no flooding in town.. it rained most of today but now finally the sun is out and the best part is that its cool. 74ยบ !! The Tn. river is fat but not over-flowing..
FROST .. We had a severe frost last night.. The temperature dropped down to -1c.. Our veggie plants are totally finished except the in ground ones like carrots, parsnips, onions.. That was August 31st with the first frost of the season.. I had the furnace going this morning to take the dampness out of the house as well as warming it up.. Furnace is on again tonight as again.......MORE FROST..
OK............. Its now September 3rd and the hunting season has officially opened up as of midnight last night.. I am now asking for special orders if any of you have a preference of roasts I shall make when you come for the next eclipse in 2024... Bear Moose Deer Beaver Partridge ........................Or anything you would like............ I will try to accommodate you with your choice................ If possible....
These are 500 liters of molasses mixed with other stinky items that the Bears love.. We use that as bait to lure the bears..
Deer meat ..ground up Please..OH and hubby loves the deer heart , if you could save one for him.. I would appreciate it very much..
