My neighbor sent me a bowl of grape casserole recently. She gave it to my son to bring to me. We decided to just try one bite to see if it was good. After that, we tried another bite. And, soon, it was almost all gone. I asked her for the recipe. I made some yesterday. It is sooooo good! I'm posting the recipe but, be forewarned, you can't eat just one. 2½ ---- 3 pounds of grapes 8 oz. Cream cheese ½ cup powdered sugar ¼ teaspoon vanilla flavor 8 oz. Sour cream About ½ cup roasted pecans. Chopped Wash and destem grapes . Set aside to drain. In a 3-4 qt. Bowl, beat cream cheese , powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Fold in sour cream Add grapes and stir until all grapes are well coated. Pour into a 9 X 13 casserole dish In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and pecans Sprinkle over grapes. Refrigerate overnight. Can be made several days ahead of time. I made only half the recipe so I cut everything by half. I also put the sour cream in with the cream cheese and mixed it by mistake. It turned out OK so I'll keep doing that.
