Hi, Don. I came here from the BHM forum as well following Ken's invitation. I really enjoy it and so far, MoF isn't here! The folks here are friendly and international. Enjoy!

@Don Abel Greetings, from a malingerer in the Arizona Desert! Wife & I were off-grid in Northern AZ years ago, with plenty of firewood and a nice, new Elmira Cookstove.

Takes a lot of heat to provide adequate hot water, in amount as well as temperature. Here in the Desert, sunlight is the best bet. Use it to heat water directly, then store it, use it to generate electric power.......is that considered off-grid, since huge megawattage plants are already in operation?

    Welcome to the place!
