I’m South Australian I’ve never ventured out of Aussie land and no real desire to do so .

It’s winter time in Aussie land so DH and I have just escaped from SA to where it’s warmer for about 6 weeks
(Queensland)

 

I am fascinated by the idea of visiting Australia. Wish I had more resources to do so.

Welcome @Johnny Forster . I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and I had relatives in Tonawanda. I live in the far north now, but am vacationing in Missouri and Iowa at the moment.

I grew up in south east NY, not in the city, I am now in Wisconsin on a small farm. Generally it is a bit colder here than NY, and from what I remember, not as much snow.(although that changes sometimes.) We are near a great lake so maybe that's why it is a little like maritime climate.
From what I remember of Buffalo, you could make snow an impressive export. But getting it to stay snow in the boxes would be difficult.

 

I think in a former life I lived on a small farm. That pastoral type of living appeals to my soul.
