Even though we are glad to be back in Colorado (Eastern Slope), we did check to see where some Seniors and younger moved to when they left Florida. Tennessee seemed to be a very hot spot to move to. Don't know, but.......... At one time, Florida seemed to be the hottest spot in America for Seniors to move to or be "Snowbirds" to, but, from what I've read, not so much anymore. Although, there is a big Del Web Senior Area just north of St. Augustine. We drove by one time and absolutely gorgeous, but way to expensive for our blood. Denmark, huh? Well, that's very interesting. LOL
Hello, @John Jarvin , and welcome to Seniors Only forum ! We are always glad to have new people and new ideas to talk about. What do you and your wife do for fun and enjoyment ? We have several garden enthusiasts on the forum, but since you live in a condo, you might not have any room for growing any plants except houseplants. I am a greeter on the forum, so if you have any questions, just send me a private message, and I will do my best to explain anything for you. If you click on your name at the top right corner of the page, a box will open up with options to set up your avatar and signature, as well as as your preferences for alerts, and such as that.
Thanks Yvonne! I used to own some land out in the country where we lived for many years, and which I cleared and developed myself, but it got too hard to take care of the older we got. It was just an acre and a half or so, but it was of course constant work--in Florida heat and humidity. I loved it when we were younger, when we had a lot more energy, when our kids, well, were kids. We had a garden then, and I miss it a lot. I grew huge tomatoes! Anyway, with age, etc., it just got too hard to take care of so we sold it and bought a condo. I have a few house plants now. We have a chihuahua and a duck/geese pond out our back door. It's nice.
