Cenior City's finest, were out in full force to help with crowd control, this morning, as we reopened, after our "two week" hiatus! It reminded me of the high number of police at the National Donut Convention! Their belts....and security was tight!
Sure has been busy, this morning. Shorty our cook asked if I had any "convention" pictures....I had dropped them off at Ken's Foto, down the street and they promised their Rush 48 hour Service. Seems Ken has a machine that will develop a picture in 48 hours! Imagine. So when I pick them up, I will show a few. The Apple family stopped by for breakfast. That's Ollie & Elli Apple. Ollie's Dad, Ira, owns "The Apple Orchard" on the edge of town, and always gets a kick when folks stop and ask "But what's the NAME of the orchard"? And Ellie's Granny Smith, gets a chuckle when she bites into a .....Granny Smith. Gotta go....this place has been a "madhouse"....thinkin of gettin a new sign made. Shorty
While we were closed, the Jukebox was sent out for repair. In the midst of every thing going on, it was returned today, good as new. They didn't break any records!
Had quite a pile of mail from the PO to go through....and a telegram from Mayor Kelly. He was pleased with his free lunch!
Flo has got the staff all fired up with her idea to have a "Harry & Megan Royal Wedding Day", here at the Hi-Goodbye on the 19th! Shorty said he could serve Wedding Rings cereal & make English muffins......we'll have to wait & see!
