As I was telling my Wife Mary about the Spam Turkeys, she reminded me that she was making Turkey Spam Melt sandwiches on a bun for our lunch. This brought up the "Spam Lamb" episode of M*A*S*H! Private Charles Lamb (saved) Spam Lamb
Well, I'm glad we bought the Turkey Spam on the "Spam" of the moment! Here are a few pictures of our finished work. They were great! I used a slice of Extra Sharp Cheddar....(for Tuna Melts we use Swiss).
OLD AND NEW TELEGRAMS....... Cleaning out a moving box of paperwork, I came across this 2015 telegram from Ina Wonder, an old time member of the forum who has since passed away. She had just returned from a whirl-wind vacation and was eager to rejoin us! Her little dog Izzy seemed happy too. This other telegram arrived today, from the Town's Mayor Clyde Kelly, wishing us well!
Our dear friend, Ina, and Izzy, on the whirlwind vacation. This was near the Golden Gate Bridge. She loved that trip, and I am so glad that she was able to go and see the places that were important to her, @Joe Riley .
Yesterday was a slow day....a kind of working & "working" day. Some old familiar faces drifted through, some for the coffee and some, just to "kill the cat". Some new folks stopped by as well. The Jukebox, however, was a day late. It is to be delivered later today. Maybe that's what was missing....the tunes!
Some of us showed up for the bingo game at noon yesterday, but you were out eating Spam at the Blue Moon Diner, so we got the key from under the mat. Mabel called the numbers and Charlie won after only 5 balls were drawn. Everyone got into a fight over the turkeys in the fridge. We cleaned up the mess afterward and left fast. Glad you didn't notice.
I've been thinking..... Joe's Place might be a good place to drop in for a cozy cup of coffee and a nice warm chat on a cold winter's day. What do y'all think? Shall we chat over a nice cuppa?
