Uneasy feeling. There is a breeze and it is 84 degrees. The storms will likely go around us- as usual, but the air feels still. hard to explain..a but eerie still. The calm before the storm?

    "♪ And I think it's gonna rain today...♫" -- Joe Cocker

Severe line of storms heading into Houston metro over the next 1-3 hours. These storms have been dropping between 1-2" in less than an hour that will produce street flooding, skittle-size hail, and potentially damaging winds up to 60mph.

Multiple Flash Flood Warnings are active across our northern counties through this afternoon. Some areas around Lake Livingston have seen over 10" of rainfall overnight.

It is beeyootiful! In the 60's. Spring is here. I have a huge Wolf River apple tree COVERED in blossoms. with benches of my deck's lower level right under it. The smell is amazing when the noon sun hits it.
It is going to be a fruit year.
So far rainfall has been kind and everything is green.

We had cloudy weather and light rain this morning. It is supposed to rain lightly over the weekend, so that will keep the fire danger down. High around 50 F. and low around 34 F.

On raccoon watch. It's 6:15 am EST @66 degrees. Expecting rain or thunderstorms today says Alexa either this morning or in the afternoon.

Cool and rainy today. Just light rain and high temps in the 40s F. Snow now almost completely gone. My son to the south still has a good bit of snow but we are essentially snow free except for some of the old piles. Snow at 1000' elevation but that will go away when the sun comes out. The higher mountains are, of course, still completely snow-covered.

A line of thunderstorms just went through. As always, when they're on this track, they get a mile or so away and put a surge through the line such that my touch-switch floor lamp comes on. It's a 3 way switch (Hi/Med/Lo), but the surge never takes it past Lo. If I turn it off, eventually it will come on Lo again.

In the spring there is a mud hole in front of the sheep door. It gives them pause to come out and in. It is finally drying up and I hope it stays dry till Saturday when my sheep shearer comes. This guy is new but generally they don't like to clip muddy sheep.
