Is that not normal for you guys? I had a horse friend who lived in Phoenix with temps like that. I used to think, How could you keep a horse there?

We typically have high-90s and plenty of rain, but this has been a very dry year so far.

I know not to eat those, but I had never heard of them until I moved to Alaska. I didn't know if they were an issue elsewhere, as they resemble highbush cranberries, which I also hadn't encountered until I moved here.

Still raining here and temps in the 40s overnight. I noticed on the ice chart last night that the ice is still onshore in the north---in July! I have been there in July and the ice was usually visible in the distance but it was never onshore. With the ice onshore, the barges supplying the villages on the north coast of Alaska and Canada will not be able to get through. I wonder what happened to the open sea lanes in the arctic? Probably the same thing that happened to the entire cities and nations that went underwater by the year 2000 that was pointed out by T. Carlson on his show regarding Biden's power grab.

    Once again.
    Damn that global warming.
But be glad Obama's estate on the beach is still above water. So sad he made the mistake of buying there.

I dragged myself out of the pasture after working in 89 degrees. I left the bags for thistles and weeds in the field. I got home, saw my husband's face, asked him for a date and then sat down. I shouldn't have because not only were my shirts wet but my pants and socks too. Sweat was dripping off my hair (cut short), down my neck and onto my collar.
I got a towel, laid it on the couch and then passed out for two hours.
    I think you are right!

It got up to 60 F. today and only a little rain in the morning. It is supposed to get up to 70 tomorrow and Monday I think.

It never made it to 70, and it rained instead. Lows in the high 40s F. and it is 51 and windy now. People in the area are reporting wind damage and power outages, but none are occurring here. It feels like our fall weather has arrived a bit early, but no leaves falling and no frosts or threats of frosts yet. It is definitely cooler than usual for this time of year, but July and August are not our warmest months.

    In other words, perfect. :)

It is nice today. Good outside working weather. I was at the farm working all morning and did not see one mosquito.o_O I sprayed myself but I always do.
They say Wednesday will be in the 90's. I will hide in the basement. But will head back out today after lunch.
I kinda have to. I set the spray for the bad thistles down in the pasture and when I went back to get it, I could not find it in the grass. I guess it fell over, which is what I was about to do. Will bring a ladder.
