Cold here today; I'm still bundled in my robe even though it's nearly noon. Supposed to be in the 30's tonight. Gorgeous and sunny, but the wind will cut you!
Cold and overcast. Currently 35 with a predicted high of 38. This is common for late fall here to get socked in for days and temperature only varies a few degrees from low to high. The sun is shining up on the pass.
I hate to rub it in but were sitting at 75 and enjoying it.No wonder all the woke ar heading to Florida. I hope the Chiggars wake em up
34 as I write this. I went to bed at 6:30 last night because I had been feeling a bit dizzy all day. The weather wasn't cold all day but cold enough to make an old person stay next to a heater. I was watching the last football game of the evening Oregon and Washington and thought it would be a good idea to go to bed early and stay warm. Two cats think I am a perch and want to sleep on my stomach, they are all a year old now and weigh a couple pounds so it is hard to get comfortable with two of them claiming my chest and expecting to be covered while doing it. I toss and turn all night and rarely can sleep on my back so I did the same last night and the cats rolled and adapted. One finally went under the blanket and remained the rest of the night the other stayed on my left side and edge of the bed. The 3rd guy carved out his place sleeping on top of one of the radiators at the foot of the bed, I had placed an old pair of jeans on top so he would not be on the metal even with it turned down to a low level it could get a bit warm to the skin. He was in hog heaven all night and never left. I would look over my shoulder and see how he was at different times and he loves that radiator, so do I and I can't turn it up higher with cats sleeping on it. I have a two bulb quartz heater in my bathroom to keep it tolerable. When I turned in several of the outside kittens had found their way in under the vanity and poor flooring. I don't mind but they went back outside and probably regrouped in their ice chest. I know it isn't what you might call warm but at least it is insulated well enough to knock off that cold wind and with 5 of them snuggled up as cats do they will be a lot better off than just sitting somewhere with no way to get out of that cold wind. It is also rain proof and under the place with an old comforter draped on top and over hanging to help reroute any wind. Now tomorrow and Tuesday and Thursday we have rain forecast and of course these night time temps will continue to go low. I keep that bathroom heat on when it gets this low for my own comfort but they can still come in if they get overwhelmed. I put down a little dry food for them and I'm sure they will come and go as they want. So it is finally light out and time to get on my feet and feed the livestock. While I was laying there last night watching that football game it was cold there with sleet and you could see the frost when someone breathed. I started thinking about that left over bowl of chili and rice I had for my dinner earlier and it took a lot of will power to not go warm it and eat again. I got up this morning thinking about that chili and rice and will have to destroy it at lunch time or sometime slightly before lunch time. I feel sure my dizziness is due to this weather again and sinus. It will pass and if I still feel bad later I will lay down and stay warm. I hate cold weather !

This evening after getting up thinking it was 7am it was actually 3pm and the rain front was beginning to come in. It will be warmer tonight and on and off light rain. Good sleeping weather if it is only a little louder. I thought it was tomorrow when I got up so I hurried off to the kitchen and fed those outside cats again not realizing it was only 3 hours since I had started napping. An electric blanket will make one so comfy it can change time of day heh. Tonight I will watch Eagles and Washington with the Eagles at a first time undefeated season at 8 wins. I found a streaming site I can watch it, that is if it remains on at kickoff. I am really sad the nfl decided to shut out the poor American people who cannot afford monthly special sports stations to pay the bill for all those worthless slugs. It was the American tax payer all over America that paid for those stadiums these worthless slugs play in for free yet they have the nerve to not televise a game for an American watching commercial TV. People should all get together and demand that all that tax money be refunded for those stadiums that provide billions for people who don't appreciate it. Our country is so corrupt. I make it a point to not pay to watch something that was free for 50 years until the greed took over. I still try to watch a game if it interest me but I can take it or leave it. I still have Andy of Mayberry and all the other great old shows on ME TV.
It was supposed to be cloudy here rill Wednesday then partly cloudy, hope your forecast is wrong too. My daughter in Georgia said hers is cold and dreary now too.
We haven't had any additional snow but it hasn't melted. We had a brief melt a couple of days ago but that only served to coat the snow with a layer of ice.
