A lot of the snow, from areas that get sun, has melted. Tomorrow, Black Friday, it will be close to 60, but after that, things begin to fall apart with more normal temps and some snow coming in on Tuesday. Only predicting an inch, but have heard that prediction before and "inches" came. Once we move, perhaps we will never see snow again. At least we can hope. Although, it is beautiful to see, during Christmas Holidays, that is.
20 F. and snowing. Down near zero last night, but it will be warmer tonight with the snow. Our youngest son took my snowmachine for a run around the property today just to check things out so I don't have problems later.
I loved working and living in San Diego because driving to work I would look to the left and see snow up in the mountain tops but nothing in San Diego. By 10am it was really warm and nice, at lunch all we mechanics and some parts people would go to the park and have lunch and play softball. It was Center City Ford where I worked then. That was in the late 70s.
Snow has ended and now it is -10 F. and clear. What delightful winter weather, and no mosquitos or other bugs around.
Finally clear, sunny and mild. We got over 5" of rain Friday night and into yesterday morning. Our rain gauges were running over in the back yard.
Temps are in the 40's. Rainy, windy, cloudy, chilly, and a miserable dreary day outside. But it's a good day being inside a warm house reading a book, and doing a little internet shopping.
-18 F. and sunny. A bit nippy, but we keep the car in the garage, so it isn't uncomfortable to drive places. Getting into my -18 F. truck is less than comfortable.
Yesterday, it was windy and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and into late last night. They had tornadoes further south, but all we had was rain and thunder. Poor little Poodle was snuggled up as close to my side as he could get last night because he hates thunderstorms. By this morning, it was all over and gone, and he was sleeping back at the foot of the bed (his usual place) again.
Yesterday was 80 ! Today 38! just mind boggling this weather. InKansas were wwe are moving next month was 16 around , now its 26... Shivers
it has been unseasonably warm this fall. Today is a bit nippy, mostly because of the wind. It is 26 degrees, wind chill about 13. But if you think about it, with all the talk of heating fuel shortages, this is much better than it could be. I asked daughter to get our spare wood stove out of the hay mow.
