I am always thinking of ways to entertain my granddaughters (ages 2 and 1 years old) when they are with me. Yesterday I was rummaging through things that I set aside when my grandson was living with us and I found a small nylon tent. So I got up early and began to set it up. I took blankets, pillows, and their little chairs and set them up inside like a little house. I also set a crate of toys out. They loved it! We were outside most of the day and they were in and out of the tent sometimes laying down others sitting down carrying on little conversations even squabbling over which chair to sit in. Surprisingly the toys were all outside of the tent. I was going to take it down and my grandson asked me why. I thought about it and decided to leave it up. He went inside and bought out his bean bag and placed it close to the tent. It was nice.
