I have a question for you @Ken Anderson ....After having Trump for 2 years now and knowing what you know about him and assuming he wasn't running against Hillary Clinton but someone else....would you vote for him again?

Maybe it's not Trump's fault but I just don't like where we are right now as a country.

Without hesitation. He is far from being a perfect person, but I knew that, and don't look to him as a spiritual advisor or as a role model. However, I believe he is the only president we've had in my lifetime who has tried to do what he promised to do, and he has done an amazing job in the face of more opposition than any president I am aware of. I don't know of anyone I'd rather have. I can hardly imagine what he'd be able to accomplish if he had even the support of his own political party and the cooperation of those who are supposed to be reporting to him instead of working against him.

I can understand that. I don't either, but I think that's an atmosphere that is being created for that very purpose - to get people to want to go back to the way things were when both political parties were working toward the same agenda.

That's just it right there....people working with him but he blew that with his behavior in my opinion.

Imagine that you were hired to run a company and that you came into the job with some great ideas that you were trying to implement, and then you found that company employees were working against you rather than for you, and the board of directors was threatening to bring you up on charges if you fired any of them. Imagine further, that whenever you wanted to bring someone into the company who you had confidence in, the board of directors wouldn't allow you to do so, and would approve only those who would work against you, and if you managed to hire someone who you could trust, the board of directors would bring them up on legal charges, as well as their families, so that the people you needed were afraid to take the job. Then, you might add that all of the industry trade magazines started writing articles about you that were hit pieces, and mostly untrue. That's what Trump is facing.

I don't believe it's that simple or even fact but I'm replying so that you dont feel I'm ignoring your post...I did make the mistake of asking a question. :)

Just want to add...imagine having a boss like Trump, who in the middle of the night will tweet some embarrassing and ridiculous things about you....would you want to work for him?

You do realize trump is the face , not the actual person researching the facts needed when one & one meetings are scheduled with other countries. What goes on behind closed doors isn't always known.

granted his lack of tact is frustrating and not the typical diplomatic kind of presentation on the world stage we've grown to accept as the way professional politicians work. That may be the crux of the issue, Trump isn't a professional politician. Those that rise to his level in business tend to want to get things done yesterday, that doesn't work when you have to deal with the house of representatives & senate.

I don't like Trump's demeaner but I do like his agenda to MAGA.

I can't think of a time when he has done that to anyone who hasn't attacked him first. If I were leaking information to the press or criticizing my boss rather than working for him, I would expect there to be some repercussions. I would expect it to come in the form of being escorted from the building, rather than a tweet, but Trump isn't allowed to fire anyone. Usually, a president has people who will defend him in the press, such as members of his own political party, but Trump can't depend on that, so I am sure he feels the need to defend himself.

That's fine but do it like a grown up and a President, not like a 10 year old.

That goes to his character not his agenda. To be clear Trump is the president not a corporate boss. When accepting to work on behalf of the American people, the good thing about America is that continuing to work in that capacity for the kind of person you described & you can't stand. You can quit.

I get that. I wish he wouldn't do some of that stuff too, but when past presidents did something stupid, we didn't know about it, because the media wouldn't make an issue of it. Trust me, Obama said and did a lot of stupid stuff.

I think you managed to bring up the real issue. Whether Trump’s ways of doing things has brought about respect or fear, thus far there are no real grey areas and it garners the attention of the entire world.

Obama’s America was one that looked like a dog with it’s tail between it’s legs. He bowed and cowtowed to every leader in the world. Everything was about Barack Obama and very little was about the nation which elected him.
Even his gift to the Queen of England was all about him. A box of cheap chocolates would have been better than a box of DVD’s containing his own speeches.
He was all about making himself look better and whilst doing that, all respect for the entire nation came to a halt. He came close to making the U.S. a veritable prostitute which answered to the call of anyone who wanted a piece of her. He left office owning 3 new mansions and bought another one shortly afterward so the question of who was the lady of the night and who was the pimp is pretty blatant.
