That wasn't their job from 2008 to 2016. During the Obama Administration, they were in the business of covering for him and acting as his press corps.
Media doing their job ??? Yesterday Fox covered the million dollar bribes to Obama and Hillary Clinton to get 20% of all US uranium. This is the biggest news of Russian involvement ever. CNN talks about how Pence looks at Trump. CBS talks about how Ginsberg exercises
That was because republicans tried to completely shut Obama down. Mitch McConnell said on several occasions his only job was to see that Obama failed. Obama didn't get a fair shake from the republican party and the press saw and disapproved as did many other americans did.
That's odd, given that McConnell is pretty much a Democrat in all but his party registration. Let me guess; you probably believe that the Democrats are doing everything they can to cooperate with Trump, right? That's the job of the opposition party - to oppose. Republicans don't do enough of it. I'm sure you haven't noticed, but the Democrats are always united in their opposition to any Republican bill, while there are always enough Republicans willing to vote for the other side in order to prevent the Republican agenda from moving ahead.
That's right and I hope the democrats do the same in as much as they are able or,and this is what really hope, the special prosecutor comes up with enough on him to hang the man, but whether likely or not I respect the fact you elected Trump but I think you're misguided about the President. And we could argue still the co ws come home and all it would prove is we believe differently about politic and certainly about this president.
All news is not about politics. I read about the Clintons involvement in Uranium two years ago. Also how we sold some uranium mines in Arizona to a company in South America which was owned by an interest Kazakhstan who it was believed funneled the uranium to Russis. As I recall there were no objections from anyone in politics. The article I read did say this company in Kazakhstan had donated something like five hundred thousand dollars to the Clinton foundation. Whoever reported this it was some news organization I trusted so it woudn't have been Fox News. I guess we have to remember that politics makes strange bedfellows and its usually the money and not the party who wins over the big deals. That's one reason I didn't vote for Hillary Clinton.
I'm glad Trump does not know how to work within the system...the political system is corrupt and beyond fixing. Our government and those who run it are clowns who are laughing all the way to the Bank while doing nothing to fix the problems here in America. No Trump can't change all that is wrong with America or our Government...but he can and has started some of the changes and hopefully the Presidents who come after him will continue making those much needed changes too. And I don't see him as an ignoramus either. In my opinion with everything and everyone he has had to butt heads with...he's doing a really good job in keeping many of the promises he made us Americans. While I do think he has much to learn and needs more people he can really trust on his team...I am proud of him for trying to do right and change those wrongs that have been going on for way to long. Trump did not need the Presidency...but we certainly needed him and even thought he is not perfect....he is for America and Americans.
That's your opinion. You've a right to it as I have for mine. This is Mine: Trump is only interested in helping himself and his family and pehaps lowering taxes for the wealthy, regardless of what he says. Governmentorder requires rules, a knowledge of government is somewhat essential, He is ignorant in government, the constitution. He thinks he is too smart to ac cept help. He admires dictators. Tries to emulate them. It may be too much to say he lies every time he opens mouth but not by much. While he is my president, I do not and can not respect this president. All I can hope for is a better day tomorrow.
And that would be your opinion that I don't have to agree with either. Isn't it nice that we can have our own opinions and not have to get all bend out of shape just because we don't see eye to eye on our President? I may not like everything about Trump...but I'll take him anyday over Obama, and Hillary.
It is nice we can agree to disagree, to have different opinions about many wide ranging subjects. That's the stuff friends are made of, different opinions and ideas yet respecting each other. Now I think Obama has more sense than Trump and Clinton put together but that's beside the point. It is fair to say and I think I have said so, I admire you and respect you and your opinions. I enjoy reading your comments even if at times disagree.
The deep state media, entertainment, industrial complex, the justice system, and the intelligence system. the elicit government. The more Trump can aggravate these people the better it will be for the country and just maybe he can get the corruption out of the government.
Stock market keeps going up. I bought AT&T yesterday. Wish I had more money to invest. When the tax cuts are done it should be even better.
@Sheldon Scott Some financial "sage" once stated that the Stock Market is no different than any other kind of gamble: in a rising market, he proved that throwing darts at the published favorites did just as well as the predictions by financial experts. At least when I play Blackjack, several predictables are always accurate: memorization of cards "played" gives insight to cards about to appear (predicting the future), and, I'm playing against myself, not millions of others who buy and sell, and the failures I achieve belong only to myself. The Stock Market is a gamble but you can limit the risk by educating yourself. I also buy lottery tickets.
