$4.16 here. Buttigieg, or whatever his name is, says gas prices won't be a problem because of electric vehicles. What an idiot. What do the power plants run on that supply the electricity to charge those electric cars? Coal and oil, you fool.

High gas prices and a lower standard of living are a goal of the elites in both political parties, but especially the Democrats. The elites, of course, will be able to afford the higher prices, while the taxpayers will foot the bill for the political elite. Putin didn't do this. Although he may be involved, it is part of the plan and what we are hearing in the news is a play.

The higher energy prices will raise the prices at the grocery store. There might be some delay but food prices will rise in direct proportion to gas price increases.

Had to laugh a little this morning and not laugh as in funny ha-ha.
The Covid thing shut down businesses and even to date there are businesses that didn’t reopen. The other day the present resident of the Oval Office said he created a couple hundred thousand jobs that of course, we all know that they were always there but people are just going back to work now.

So now, we have people who are trying to go back to work because they’re broke but because of the gas prices, they can’t afford to get back and forth from work. Those that do make it till payday will fill up their cars and be unable to buy the now higher priced food they need. Higher priced because the purveyors are charging more because of the higher gas and labor prices. Also higher prices because the delivery trucks are also charging more for a delivery because….of higher fuel prices.

Welcome back to the Jimmy Carter days.
Carter stopped the U.S. offshore drilling. Biden stopped all U.S. drilling.
Carter had the aftermath of a disastrous ending to Nam and Biden’s pullout of Afghanistan was also a disaster.
Carter had Billy and Biden has Hunter. (At least Billy actually sold beer whereas Hunter doesn’t actually sell art)

Now all we need is about 50 American captives in some foreign country and a canal to give away for a complete reiteration of a totally failed Presidency.

    $4.06 this morning.

My neighbors and I are renting a skid loader for a week to clean up the aftermath of multiple snow storms (and I get to do a couple of projects around the property.) Fortunately, I bought 25 gallons of diesel late last year before the price went up. Hopefully he price will go down before I need to replenish.

I wouldn't count on any prices of anything going down in our lifetimes.

If nothing else, there may be an induced dip when elections roll around.

The gas prices dropped after Reagan got into office and renewed drilling leases and dropped after Trump took office.

What I want to see is when they do drop again, I want to see the jaws drop on those power seeking ingrates who are presently in office when they realize that their conspiracy to create a socialist government has been destroyed.
I want to see their jaws drop anew and Pelosi’s face lose it’s color to grey pale when we regain our energy independence.

It's not as though our destroyers don't know what they're doing. Recall Obama's "...gonna wave a magic wand?" for Trump to get GDP and employment numbers up from his "new normal"? There was no follow-up with Obama or accounting for what he did to us. There are those who blame Trump for all this, without having any reason for it. My neighbor (with whom I avoid politics) was whining about gas prices, and I said "Thanks, Biden." I could tell he did not appreciate it. I got that same reaction when Trump took office and the guy's business boomed (he manages a local recycling/refuse center) and he was hiring like crazy. I made the gentlest of comments regarding things being so daggone good (without naming names,) and he gets miffed.
