Ah, I thought I recalled you being thereabouts. Perhaps a "can of worms" awaits........

    Are you sure? @Lon Tanner

That area has some crime also...maybe not the AL you live in but I hear of lots of things happening there on the police scanner.

You are more NW and NE is newer and safer ...sorry, those are the facts.

Also the further north you go the
    better....you are south of me.:)

Sorry, I wouldn't want to live that close to Shaw.

I'm on the border of Fresno and Clovis and north of Shepard, not far from Woodward Park and a lot of country clubs.

We are getting some crime here though like I posted but NW has far more problems.

And honestly if I had more money after my husband died I wouldn't even be living here.

Not the best choice in California! Just cheaper than the coast.

Also...don't mean to sound like I'm bragging about where I live because in general Fresno is sometimes called the armpit of California ....a lot of the central inland cities are...

It might be better than Bakersfield but I'm not sure.:)

Given that I live in a small town, I would guess that at least half of the reported thefts in Millinocket were committed by the same couple of kids, who are repeatedly breaking into houses and shoplifting, mostly small stuff. They've been arrested dozens of times in the past couple of years, and are suspected in a lot of others.

It is true, Ken, that a small percentage of people is responsible for all crimes. Committed over & over. Called 'career criminals.'

Yes. In fact, many felons that are released from state and/or federal prisons are repeat offenders. Many just can't give up the "criminal" thing. Many felons have a "rap sheet" that can be/is extremely long on arrests and convictions.

Lon might be safer than I am living in an Assisted Living Community than a person living alone in a stand alone house but my area in general has less crime.

Also, 93730 is NORTH of me and wasn't even built up when I moved here in 2003. My area was just being built.

Not sure of the other zip code.
