I don't think there is any where you can move to these days to get away from crime. It is rampant everywhere in the cities, and has moved to rural areas as well. The world has become scary with societies deterioration of moral values and ethics.

An acquaintance of mine called a few days ago saying he had some work to do in DC and decided to take the subway. He said he couldn’t believe it, over half the people he saw weren’t even bothering to pay fare, just jumping the turnstiles or forcing their way though. He said Metro security was standing right there talking, didn’t even raise an eyebrow. Of course they’ll soon want more tax money from the metro area to offset their increasing losses.

Just read that Chase Bank has begun closing formerly 24/7 ATM vestibules at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. in the New York City area as a result of the “rising crime and vagrancy” in the city. You might think New York folks really like their crime given how they vote. It seems NYC has a crime safety index around 15 (100 is safest) and I'd bet 15 is inflated.

People wouldn't think that horse and/or cattle rustling/stealing wasn't going on anymore, but it sure is.

We now live in cattle country, cattle rustling is alive in well. The town we live in is small, but Dodge City where we to go to shop and buy grocery made news this morning. 3 officers shot one from our county and few more injured. This is big deal here as only second time in 15 years at least.

Bad ..in the city and the main offenders of car theft / violent assaults range in age from 12~ 16 years old

It used to be common for homes in the outta northern suburbs to be targets of house break in’s and car theft but now the criminal children target the eastern suburbs where residents are more likely to have high value cars .

Only a few days ago ( in Adelaide city) a couple drive into their garage after food shopping ….took the young child inside the home …..the man came out to get groceries….. and within minutes the car was stolen from the open garage.

It was all caught in their home security cameras …..a car pulled up a CHILD got out of back seat and I believe the owners had left the keys in the center consul so the CHILD CRIMS were able to start the car by simply touching a button

( our car also has touch button start ) so I only need to have the keys close by to start the car .

Most of these child criminals are from African countries :(

Mostly malicious mischief type of criminals running loose here. It can get costly though as they steal catalytic converters. Also hammer wide, long screws into your tires. That sort of thing.

Someone figured out a way to cut world record homicide rate by almost an order of magnitude. Who would have guessed?
