Yvonne I just realized looking at the older pictures of Elvis and Jake brother even looks a lot like Elvis, never realzied that before.
He can sure sing like him and when he did Dixie he got a standing ovation at the club, he sounded just like him and could hit the high notes in that song too.
Now hje seldom even picks up his guitar 'arthritis' in his fingers.
If you didn't look you'd think Elvis was singing the song. Jakes family has a lot of talented musicians, including Jake who plays guitar and keyboard very well as do all 4 of his brothers.

Eyes closed, eyes open I have no problem differentiating the real Elvis from that con artist Joyce.

There's a good book. "is Elvis Alive" that makes a convincing case that he faked his death. Of course it's all Bs. All you have to do is look at the last couple years photos of Elvis to see he wasn't well. His drug use was legendary and his health issues alone would have kept him from leading a long life. Nobody in his family really lived a long time. His mother died at 42.
There are tons of concerts on youtube where he barely gets through a show on stage, virtually hanging on to the mic stand to stay on his feet. Sadly, Elvis died that day in August and it's silly to think otherwise.

Thanks for the correction Tommy, I just always called it Dixieland for some reason.

    Elvis & his mother

This 2014 article has stuff about his sexual proclivities that I read about a long time ago from several different sources, and that don't bear subjecting forum members to. Click if you like.

I saw him about four concerts before he died, at the Omni in Atlanta Ga., and he didn't look well then.

I just read another interesting take about whether Elvis really died or faked his death, and this article has a completely different idea about the whole Elvis life story, right from his birth, and the information that he shows does leave another option possible.
To get the whole story and the facts, you will need to read the short article; but i am going to give you the gist of what he says happened, and then if it intrigues you, follow up by reading the article.

We all know that Elvis had a twin, named Aaron Presley (or possible Aron, depending on that you are looking at on the birth certificates). Let us suppose that the twin did not die, and there were actually two Presley brothers who grew up to be one Elvis Presley, the singer and entertainer.
At first this seems far fetched, but if true, it does account for what happened with Elvis.
The writer of the article thinks that there is a slight difference in the twins, which can be seen in the photos, and that Aaron is the one who went into the military and also fell in love and married Priscilla. Having two people playing the part enables how Elvis was able to be on the road and also producing movies at almost the same time.

The story continues with Elvis taking good care of himself and Aaron remaining at Graceland with Priscilla, eating and getting fat, and eventually dying.
By now, the management was ready to be done with the whole Elvis thing anyway, so they “retired” real Elvis, and this is why we still have people thinking that he is still alive, many years later.

I know all of you conspiracy-haters who like to come here and read anyway are probably laughing by now because this is so far off the mainstream Elvis story that everyone believes; but for the open-minded few of us, here is the link to the article.

I probably should not say this because people get more infuriated when you slander Elvis than when you insult their mothers...but I never was a big fan, and I look down my nose at members of The Church of Elvis.

Regarding the twin theory: there would have to be too many people in on it for it to be kept a secret. Word would get around the movie set if Elvis #1 was shooting while Elvis #2 were concurrently elsewhere giving a concert. To a lesser degree, the reverse would be true. Not only would the executives be in on it, but every single worker bee on both sets would also know.

This story is as plausible as making the case that the guy had talent. (Sorry.)
