I need a new toilet that is not so low. I am 6' 4" with bad knees. I don't care what material the seat is made from.

The broken wooden toilet seat is still in the guest bathroom. We keep it there to discourage overnight guests. I checked yesterday and it broke along a glued joint, not a grain.
Now that the weather is getting cold my husband would probably love it if for his Christmas present I got him a toilet seat that heats! Since he always goes and flips the switch on the heater vent in the bathroom a few minutes before he heads in there to use the bathroom...a heated toilet seat would probably be a wonderful Christmas gift for him!
Our main bathroom is one of the coldest rooms in the house. When we had the house re-insulated a couple of years ago and they were checking with their meter, they found that it was well-insulated so that wasn't the problem. Our heating system circulates hot water through pipes and baseboards throughout the house, and I think the problem is that the heating pipe passes through the narrowest part of the bathroom. Since the hot water isn't continually circulating, it just passes through the bathroom without heating the area much. I still probably won't get a heated toilet seat though.
