An Afghan lady told reporters she was elected Mayor of their little town. The townspeople like her. She believes the thugs will come for her and kill her. If she flees, same destiny.

    Unimaginable, to me.

What I meant by it Don is that almost everyone knows that J. Biden isn’t capable of making any kind of decision that might have some lasting substance to it.
He’s a mindless puppet who has to get medically shot up every time he reads the teleprompter otherwise he stumbles around like he doesn’t know where he is much the less of who he is. The nursing homes are filled with guys like him.

I mean, think about all the people who have some major bucks who would like to see the United States fall and who have also invested in people who are the least qualified to be in a high office.
It has been reported that K. Harris was with Biden when he made the decision for the Afghanistan evacuation. She’s a highly motivated bought and paid for individual who has more to gain by allowing a mentally incompetent man make a fool out of himself thereby bringing about a possible 25th amendment action against him.

To use one of Kamala’s favorite lines, “we need to find the root cause”. I want to know who is really pulling the strings and see them hung from the highest yardarm. I already know who the scapegoat is and who the scapegoatess will be once Biden is swept under the rug.
When I look and study the anti-American likes of Pelosi, Schumer, Omar, Cortez, Waters etc and see the amounts of money and political push coming from BLM, Antifa and their real benefactors George Soros and other dissidents I can’t help but see why a total mentally inept person would be advantageous to them.

As it stands, I blame Jill Biden and Kamala Harris for not coming clean about Joe and his inability to make ANY decision. Right now, some in congress are talking about stripping Joe of any unassisted executive decisions but I truly believe that he hasn’t had that privilege from the start. Somebody else is pumping him full of meds and telling him what he is supposed to do and say next.
And, as long as the media was giving him all the atta boys, he thought he was really the president and doing a good job.

At least the MSM isn’t so quick to hand him an award this time but that too is advantageous to Kamala and the deep pockets behind all the failures and her.

I hope your Visa's up to date, 'cause you're gonna have to travel beyond our shores to find them.

@Bobby Cole I understand that he is incompetent. Harris has also claimed that she was a part of the Afghanistan decision--"the last one in the room" was her statement. The figurehead president has been doing his best to destroy the nation as quickly as possible, and it makes me ill. This pullout has upset me most of all. Not only have the U.S. vets and military been betrayed, but also the Afghan people who helped us. Our allies now know they cannot rely on the U.S. for anything. Congress may be thinking of stripping him of powers, but, short of impeachment, I don't believe they have the power to do so unless the cabinet agrees and he can be removed form office. I don't think there is any constitutional way to limit his powers except perhaps by not funding his programs. Who knows? The constitution doesn't seem to mean much these days anyway.

I wonder if anyone will eventually tell Biden that it is doubtful if any of nearly 20 million well trained combat (and otherwise) veterans would welcome him at their doorstep.
I also wonder how many families of the nearly 2000 who died in Afghanistan would react if Biden or Harris suddenly showed up?

One thing about it though. We, whether we be Democrat or Republican who believe this administration is a complete joke are indeed ….united.

I guess I don't see this "united" thing. Most wild-eyed liberals are hanging onto their beliefs no matter how low the country sinks under Biden.

Do note Beth that I did place a condition to that “united” thing. You are right of course but with a small twist. The Trump haters would rather go down with the ship than admit that they’ve made a serious mistake.
I’m sure that many military people and their families who voted for Biden (which I still do not understand) are now more than likely sharing the idea that they’ve been had.
Even CNN, MSNBC, ABC and CBS all had some pretty negative input to the fall. Of course, they all read from the same script but hey, uniformly it was some bad stuff.
I would say that that’s a little more united than it was a week ago.

Added to the whole fracas, since the fall of Afghanistan, the Chinese have decided to place warships and fighter jets on the border and coast of Taiwan. Whether the Tai’s like it or not, their free country is undoubtedly going to be swallowed by the Chi-coms. Our supposed leadership is weak and nearly non-existent and the Chinese are going to take full advantage of it.
Once again, we’re not leading from behind but losing and way behind.

A Beautiful people and a beautiful country. The stories I could tell about a young soldier on R&R in Taiwan. Nope. Better not. Well, some day maybe.

The leader of Taliban says they are committed to the rights of women within the framework of Sharia law.

Under the Taliban's rule, women were effectively put under house arrest as they were not allowed to work or have an education.

Women and girls from the age of eight had to wear a burka and had to be chaperoned by a male relative if they wanted to leave their home. Women who disobeyed the rules, even if they had no male relatives to go outside with, were flogged in the street or in stadiums and town halls.

High-heeled shoes were also banned in case they excited men, homes with windows on the ground and first floor had to be painted over and women were forbidden to go on their balconies.

Photographing, filming or displaying pictures of females in newspapers, books, shops or the home was not allowed, place names that had "women" in were changed and women were banned from appearing on radio, TV or at public gatherings.

Women had their thumb tips cut off for wearing nail varnish and were stoned to death if they refused to declare loyalty to the Taliban. Anyone who broke the rules could be subject to humiliation, public beatings by the Taliban's religious police or execution.

Women's rights activist Malala Yousafzai says millions of Afghan women and girls were educated in the last 20 years - but the future they were promised is "dangerously close to slipping away".

Ms Yousafzai, who was shot in the head by the Taliban in Pakistan in 2015, wrote in a blog for The New York Times: "Like many women, I fear for my Afghan sisters."

So do I........ So do I. Those young women have had a taste of freedom. They must be filled with dread at the thought of going back to Sharia law.

This will only get worse as each day passes for certain. Al Queda will rear its ugly head. They are funded by Hezbollah and make no mistake here, Saudi Arabia is in the fold for Sharia Law, so my heart goes out to these women. I do not see this administration lifting one finger to help them. Yet, they will permit untold dolts cross our southern border without a peep. Disgusting.

Thanks to the largesse of the United States government, they now have a greatly expanded arsenal, including Blackhawks.

How will the new strain of Covid virus affect the transition in Afghanistan? Are these thugs likely to sicken due to their unprotected ways? Will it affect their incursion?

Interestingly enough, although there were around 7K deaths out of 152K cases by July 31 of this year, many of their citizens were certain that CV-19 and the spin offs didn’t really exist and it was the government that was killing them.

Our embassy did keep a tally on CV cases but now that for the most part it isn’t functional, I doubt if anyone is concerned about death caused by a virus as much as they are of their very dangerous brand new government. The irony is astounding!

Could a part of the plan be a ruse to bring a mass of unvetted Afghans to the United States to live off the backs of everyone else and, more importantly, to further change the face of America, I wonder.
