Ok, but, there are lots of people in America that don't eat like normal folks either. Many folks here in America will say, "take care of, and feed, America first". IOW, they really don't care, that much anyway, how people in other countries are treated. There are some Americans, those with money to spare, that do donate and that is definitely wonderful.........unless the drug lords get the money first.

    Cody,

Really I don't know what I going to do with you. :)

NOBODY.........I MEAN NOBODY... was talking about sending food to Venezuela but SHOWING THE DEVASTATION CAUSED BY SOCIALISM............and if I show you a pic of Cuba it's 100 times worse. Got it? Nobody was asking for help but, simply, showing the horrors of Socialism.

And, why show it? You don't think anyone knows about it? Or, perhaps we are running out of topics to talk about. LOL

Yes, they have it bad in those countries, but what about American's and the things we still can't do yet, those who are still unemployed and trying to live that way. Us Seniors are lucky, we have retirement pay, SS and savings. Well, some of us have retirement pay, that is.

I do understand your feelings, but most people are thinking about the problems in the U.S., not the Socialism in other countries.

    • Cody
    • ""And, why show it? You don't think anyone knows about it? Or, perhaps we are running out of topics to talk about. LOL""
    • Because there are millions of people...in USA and on the world...who don't have the foggiest idea about Socialism and its horrors.

    • ""Yes, they have it bad in those countries, but what about American's and the things we still can't do yet, those who are still unemployed and trying to live that way. Us Seniors are lucky, we have retirement pay, SS and savings. Well, some of us have retirement pay, that is."""
Create your thread on the subject and we will opine.

""I do understand your feelings, but most people are thinking about the problems in the U.S., not the Socialism in other countries."""

Well, everybody should be thinking about the Socialism in other countries BECAUSE it may get here sooner than you think.

Cody, you love to be right but...:)

No, your thread here is fine, but there are those in America, and perhaps even in this forum, who plainly don't care. As I have already said, we Americans have our own problems to solve.

And, why on earth would you even think that Socialism would come to the U.S.??

Silvia, I don't "love to be right", just state facts that are going on in the U.S. right now.

Ok, Silvia, I won't interrupt your thread anymore. I've had my say.

Now, what I'm wondering is what other forum members are going to say about your thread.

See, the people who disrespected RL after he passed are the same ones who idolize the Che Guevara.

    @Silvia Benoit

Was Guevara really a bad guy? Or made to be so in the minds of Americans by their own political leaders?

"On 11 December 1964, during Guevara's hour-long, impassioned address at the UN, he criticized the United Nations' inability to confront the "brutal policy of apartheid" in South Africa, asking "Can the United Nations do nothing to stop this?" Guevara then denounced the United States policy towards their black population, stating:

Those who kill their own children and discriminate daily against them because of the color of their skin; those who let the murderers of blacks remain free, protecting them, and furthermore punishing the black population because they demand their legitimate rights as free men—how can those who do this consider themselves guardians of freedom?"

Tell me what Ernesto "Che" Guevara Lynch de la Serna (who along with his family owned half of Buenos Aires state) did for mankind. Even better, ask the Cubans what he did to improve the lives of those who lived quite well but Castro decided to send to poverty, misery and death.

See, to further my cause I can say all those things people want to hear; it doesn't mean I believe what I say / care for the others....
One of el Che most favorite words were "The f...g ermpire will invade us." Guevara was a sociopath; there are photos of him executing farmers who didn't give their land to the government.

    @Silvia Benoit

Well, I just don't know. There is abundant evidence that Guevara never executed anyone who truly did not deserve it. Ah, but now you may interject that NO ONE should ever be executed. I strongly believe that's not true.

Ask all the Cubans who lost relatives at the hands of Guevara. Thanks.

Our culture should be organic...the natural outcome of our free-willed behaviour.
They want control and the power they can get from it. They are no longer governing.

    Regarding legal immigration...

    The benefits are:
-People who are grateful for the individual freedoms this nation has to offer
-People who are grateful for the opportunities (economic and personal) this nation has to offer
-People to provide fresh competition so that the rest of us do not get complacent
-People who can smell the rat that is any controlling form of government. They have lived it.

Regarding the refugees from Central American, whose governments don't offer these things, perhaps we should ask ourselves why their governments don't offer these things. Could it be that our state department and our CIA topples those governments when they try to provide these things? (All of this in the interest of our big corporations. We love those cheap bananas!)

You can make that case for why they want to come here (and lots of people want to come here for lots of reasons) and where some culpability may lie, but that does not justify our politicians allowing the invasion to happen.
