I don't say EE UU have been a lovely boy.....but I rather the lovely boy is around than having the "wonderful Castro(s) of the world" protecting us. See, if the Cubans were living as they should they wouldn't be scaping from what many of you call "the paradise" Chile...are you telling me you favored Allende? Please. Most Latin American countries are in the pits because their' s people mentality. Look at Argentina today...it went from being Cartage to a hole on the map. Who governed this country for about 70 years? The Justicialism (Peronism) = the a k a people party. Yes, while EE UU dug its paws on Venezuela the people didn't need to look for food in garbage cans..
Well, my co-op is the place where I live. I don't know about the co-op(s) you mention. My parents didn't shop (for the ranch) as you describe.
According to most Cubans exiles the health care there is practically non-existent. The hospitals lack everything. Now, if you have a load of money -and some friends of the Communist party have money- they receive whatever they need
If that's true, then it sounds like either a corrupt government, or not truly communism or socialism. Sounds more like what we have in the US.
Really? Each time I go to a doctor / hospital I receive the care I need......and I have only the Retired Teachers' Ins. I remember when I came to USA and five months after arriving (no insurance) I went to the hospital. They provided me with everything I needed and I paid in three months what I had to. Now, the people who don't have income apply for Medicaid. And, please, don 't tell me "no" since before becoming a teacher I was a Bilingual Social Caseworker and I had countless people applying for this benefit.
[QUOTEIf that's true, [/QUOTE] Is true...but if you don't believe me go to Cuba, get sick and tell them you don't have insurance neither money. When you return to USA tell us your experience. LOL
James Hintze, you hit that nail on the head with your comment. Now, look at big tech and all the fortune 500 corporations in our county, along with our present representation in Congress, and guess where we are headed? Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. Health care in Cuba is primo if you have lung cancer. Check it out. Fantastic.
Charlie Kirk discussions socialism, and the person says that it is okay to steal from someone if they have money and you don’t have money. Very short video.
Yvonne, I guess they agree with Robin Hood. The guy in the video...as soon as he starts paying his mortgage...will rifle away all homeless who want to take over his shack.
The attitude in the video reminds me of the bill that was introduced in California (or maybe it was Oregon) which stated that if someone who is caught stealing, for assault or B & E and they are proven to be poverty stricken, the courts would then exonerate that individual. In it’s very essence, it means that if I do not have what you have and I want it, it’s okay to take it. That’s not socialism.......that’s idiocy.
Socialism is the stepping stone to communism. Once you ask the government to look after you needs then you are done. The government looks after the government first. A giant club and if you are not in it you lose.quote George Carlin. There is people above the governments that are appointed and not elected so they are not responsible to the people [UN] The puppet master want to control the world and communism/socialism is a good step. The EU is like the UN as it is not elected but given ultimate power. Wake up world. .
Cuba started as a social revolution that morphed in to a communist country. Venezuela started with a socialist state. This is what a "socialist state" means in the the Marxist-Leninist / Communist sense Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR),
My recollection of Cuba is that it bought into Soviet communism from the get-go. What was Cuba before the Castro time? A corrupt place managed mostly by US gangsters? What do you mean by Venezuela's "start?" Wasn't V trying to do what Norway did with its petro wealth, namely use some of it for the benefit of its people, rather than the corrupt politicians bought off by international oil? Not please that International oil, supported by our government has been trying to topple theirs for two decades. I might also point out that we've been 'saving Central American countries from socialism/communism for the past century, and yet they are among the poorest countries in the world. We do need them cheap bananas and other things our corporations get from the area.
